You have me interested and I cannot wait for the rematch between Canada and the USA either. It will be good.

I think we are talking about two separate things.. lol...
I was talking about how when Canucks lost to Boston in Game 7 of the Cup finals and we had that city wide riot in Vancouver. It wasn't the fans that started the riot, it was the shit head kids who were sitting there and waiting for the game to end; thus starting a riot whether it was a win or a loss.
I don't think there could ever be a riot from a result of a woman's hockey game... No offense to the women here.

the most i ever saw after a women's game was after the USA v. Sweden game in the Semi-finals of the 2006 olympics.
the US girls took that loss very hard...
no riot though... just a lot of balling and crying.
a couple of weeks before that loss they were on that lesbian talk show hosts big tv show ( the 1 with the short blonde hair ) basically declaring themselves Gold Medal winners.

Yes I was talking about two separate things. I thought you had more to say about Canuck fans other than the silly riot and ofc there won't be a riot if Canada loses to the USA regardless of gender. Plus, they're in Ottawa. One of the most conservative cities on the East Coast in Canada lol.

Oh I think I remember those interviews! lol They're much, much better now. I just hope our girls don't decide to show up in the last ten minutes of the game again derp.

not to be too nit picky here.... but... i think the game is in Kanata.
the only member of the women's team i don't like hey Hayley Wickenheiser. She takes too many chances that don't work out. Is she still playing? what is she? 50?

there was something small after winning the Cup in 1993.. and defeating Boston in 2008 in 7 games. i think there was a small thing after they beat washington in 7 games as well. and then there was the riot after Maurice Richard was suspended.
but, i don't think Montreal riots after losses.
i'm watching Canada v. USA tonight!
I thought there was one in 2010 too.
And ya Star Struck, the riot was started by fake fans. Who cleverly happened to be wearing Canucks gear to blend in. Come on buddy, 'fans' is a broad rubric and I am confident that there are 'shit head kids' in every other major metropolis. And yet here we are in Vancouver 2/2 for SCF riots.

you smartass. ;o Yes, it's in the middle of nowhere and I've been there plenty of times and everyone knows if there would be a ruckus it would start where all the drunkards are which is anywhere from the Byward Market to Elgin Street or even Sandy Hill. Heck, I heard a story not too long ago that neighborhood got trashed. -_- Anyway, for all the years I've been there. Ottawa is really, really conservative and the bars are so small. Police are right on top of that shit. I like Hayley's work ethic. Heck, not many girls decide to play with the men like she did and yes she definitely takes a lot more chances. She's not that old lol... She's like in her 30's man. Heck didn't the Russians have a girl who's 40 something?

I remember a few people setting cars to fire. Not much else and yes there are stupid shits everywhere unfortunately.

Canada is getting outplayed
Harper in the house!
this order of hockey canada speech by Messier nearly made me puke... he was one of hte biggest cheap shot artists in NHL history...then u had wayne the whiner flailing and diving all over the ice... what a combo..

the 2010 thing was after a series win though.
the Richard thing was more politics than hockey
Was that Geraldine Heaney... or was that Bobby Orr ? sweet goal

Too many odd women rushes the other way. Really like how the Americans skate and their ability to get the puck back up the ice.
|
Flyers lose to the Islanders on a game that could have gone either way. Steve Mason doesn't look top-notch or anything, but is way better than Michael Effin Leighton. I can never really root against my team, but at this point I hope in a few months they have a top 3 pick. And best of luck to the Islanders, lord knows they need some playoff hockey.
|
The Great 8 and Stamkos are tied with 26 goals each. Who's gonna winn the NHL goal scoring race?
|
I'd put my money on Ovie. Easier schedule and the guy has been on fire of late.
|
yepp, me too. he caught his train and it's running pretty smothly recently.
|
Monies on the dark horse, Tavares! He hardly gets any coverage ;/
|
Senators got absolutely robbed... two horrendous calls leading to powerplay goals in one of the worst officiated games I've seen all season. Props to the Bolts for capitalizing I suppose.
|
God what is Quick's problem. I havent seen a great goalie turn into a Sieve so quickly since Ward won the Smythe/Cup.
|
If Columbus makes the playoffs and Bobrovsky doesn't win the Hart, then that is some robbery.

ABSOLUTELY NOT A CANUCKS FAN

Islanders are playing good enough to make it in right now. They keep playing like they did with that one goal lead and really aggressive with the puck in the opponents zone. So fun to watch a game like that, and would be awesome to go to a playoff game if they make it
|
The isles look like one of those 8 seeds who can surprise a top seed. Tavares is a stud, Moulson is pretty good, and theyve got a few other good but not great forwards. The defense is a bunch of no names for the most part, but they're actually pretty decent, and nabby holds it down.
