Bickell isn't even half the player Lucic is. He has never scored 40 points in a regular season and is being paid 4 million per year. He cashed in by having 1 great postseason playing on a loaded team.

Anyways, hope the canucks can make some more moves this offseason to fix up the D-line and then get to work on meshing well under Tote's new system. Good be a great year for us and should hold off all the haters for a few months. Who am I kidding, haters gonna hate.

In the end Schneider is the only trade they really had because of the luo contract. With Schnieder being 27, it is not like he is 20-21 soon to be franchise goaltender. He definitely has a few great years ahead of him, good luck to him hopefully he makes it big in NJ, tough to play there after two decades of Brodeur playing there. Luo is still great and personally I find him better than Schnieder (if you disagree that's fine). The whole situation was frustrating to say the least which everyone can agree on that. Anyways, hope the canucks can make some more moves this offseason to fix up the D-line and then get to work on meshing well under Tote's new system. I'll admit that I was livid for a moment when I saw that Nichushkin was available and Bettman showed up to announce a trade, since a scoring forward is the most immediate need for NJ, but this makes more sense overall, so I'm pretty stoked. Lou's still some manner of black magician as far as I'm concerned. :D Also, Horvat is very likely going to be a regular player in a few years; I think it's a good pick.

I'm a devils fan too (more of a nucks fan though), still have a jersey signed by the stanley cup winning NJ team of 99-00. Was lucky enough my cousin was on their team and got it signed.

However, given that NJ has to forfeit a 1st round pick next season, acquiring a solid goaltender right now is critical for damage control at the very least. Imagine the shitstorm that would occur if the Devils have to forfeit a top 10, or god forbid top 5, pick next year. I also like this option going forward better than the prospects in the system. @ Shelke14 always nice to see another Devils fan in Canada! :D (especially living within Leafs Nation)
