Sorry, didn't mean to come off as rude, I was kinda semi-drunk posting last night :3 I actually initially thought that's what you may have been getting at and I wrote out a blip about it but changed it to the x,y,z bit because nowhere did I ever mention that the Leafs would have won the ECF and then the SC if we had beaten Boston. Canuck fans always concoct these alternate realities of 'what ifs', and maybe for legitimate reasons, but we know better here in Toronto... that and our team is usually never projected to win more than 2 games ever. But if the "Vancouver card" entails finding condolence in that when they do fuck up, it's always at the hands of the eventual SC champs time and time again, I can sympathize with that. But that's not what makes it insulting to be categorized with Canuck fans ![]()

![]() Maybe run-ins with fans out west strengthens the case for this but we're just jealous here in the East, guys ![]()

also, I agree with what emzeeshady said. That being said, the Leafs still did better than expected, even if I think their a improving team that benefitted from having a shortened season. Fans should have reason to be encouraged. There's some good pieces, even if I think Carlyle could have done better, and they hung in there vs a much better opponent I just don't think it should be used as a comparison against how the leafs stack up as a team vs other clubs. Boston looked like shit in the first round compared to how they dominated the Rangers and Pitt. NY and Pitt also played horribly, and their coaches were bad too. I do think Toronto played wayyyy better than either of those two

This season is not Ralph Kreugers fault. Unless your last name is Hall, Eberle and Gagner you under preformed by a huge margin Oiler boys. RNH was terrible all year. I hope he spends the off season doing nothing but one timing shots from the slot and getting bag skated every time he misses. Yakupov took 25 games off and still managed to win the rookie scoring race (ok thats coaches fault). Hemsky was "OK". The rest were bad.

Going be an interesting off-season because I see a lot of changes being made to both the Marlies and Leafs once again.

Especially with the Red Wings showing up in the East.
