Is that an IPF legal bench press? ROM just seems real low, might just be this angle. Still very impressive stuff Rubus.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

His greem doesn't seem to have a finger touching the outer barbell 'ring'(or am I mistaking here?)' and his ass got off the bench after unracking, so I don't think so :p

One of the benching rules is that you're not allowed to have a lift off of your ass, after unracking, I believe?

In USAPL (which is under IPF) You're not allowed to adjust your position after un-racking, and it looks like he's outside the rings, so yea this would get red-lighted. Also, needs pause at top and bottom and all that.

Not that it matters, since this is just training, of course. Nice lifts man.

I'm 5% away from hitting 225 on bench with no spotter for the first time! It's been 4 years and i'm finally making some progress...
watch the wall collide with my fist, mostly over problems that i know i should fix

Sometimes people do that after unracking because they don't have a spot unracking it for them, so it's just a thing to keep them tight and in the position they would be had they had a spot.

I have legit comp grip, 81cm. I raise my ass cuz it makes the lift of easier. You can do it in ipf meets to, you will just not get a starting command before everything is down and such. If you watch some world campionships you can see that many lifter lift off with ass in the air or heels off the floor. And thanks guys. Have nationals in 2 weeks and hope to beat the sub junior world record then.

I stand corrected. Man that's awesome that you're closing in on a WR. What weight class are you in?

Care to share how you developed your flexibility so much for the bench? (i.e drills, stretching)

DL: (2-in deficit) 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 315x5, (no deficit) 225x10

Snatch progressions with bar
Snatch complex (hang power snatch, BTN press, OHSx3): 40kg x 5

Moved my DL stance in (stood on a 25lb plate) to experiment. I may be stronger off the floor and have more leg drive with a really close stance.

Made up the snatch complex to work on positions I felt weak in. I can get the bar in the air but it all falls apart after that, so I figured I'd work on positions where I felt I was losing control. Someone please tell me if I'm doing something stupid.

Man I've gotten so weak
Maxes for this week in lbs:
DL - 365 (jumped too high on this. Easily good for 375)
Chins - BW + 80
Bench - 260 (so close to 272 which would've been a PR)
Squat: 285 (technique sucks now)
Press: 150

Going to switch to RPT to save time and increase motivation.
