Had my first workout today and it felt kinda good to be back, although my shoulders and hips were still pretty messed up from last weekend snowboarding/drinking.

I do everything at home with dumbbells and here's a basic schedule for the week Monday- Chest+Tricep consists of tricep dips, tricep extensions, chest press, chest fly, chest dips, chest pullovers. Wed- Back+Biceps consists of concentration curls, hammer curls, dead lift, bent over dumbbell row, dumbbell row, forearm lifts Fri- Shoulders+Legs consists of dumbbell shoulder press, shrugs, side/front lateral raise, standing oblique extension, squats, dumbbell lunges/step ups. Cardio 3 times a week on top of this. Does this cover everything adequately? idk how far you'll get using dumbells to squat, dead you seem to miss out pullups/chinups. i cant comment on anything else as i dont know. you should follow a real program if at all possible (read ops)

Luckily he walked away okay, but it seems much more dangerous than any other lifts.

Steiner only dropped it on himself because it was the olympics and he tried much to hard to hold onto a missed lift.

The one that amazes me is how much strongman guys get injured and just come back from it. Savickas, who's the world's current strongest man, tore both patellar tendons off and within a year won world's strongest man 2002. Doing snatches will make you more comfortable. It's like an overhead press, you know you could always just drop it forwards or step back and let it fall.

Squat 5x5 52kg Bench 3x5 and 2x4 of 61kg (Decided to suck it up and just add the extra weight.. Turns out I was the one stopping myself from going up) Pull Up 3x5 BW + 2.3kg I am so happy I completed this today. It was my first ever weighted pull up, and although the weight was minimal, it still felt good ![]()

Well, people like Savickas most likely take a lot of illegal supplements to help the injuries heal up.

Strongmen are generally just made from different stuff than other people and especially the elite. A good Saturday workout would often be event training which involved Yoke Carrying, Farmer's Walks, Atlas Stones and Circus Dumbbell Presses. Then they would finish it off with what could be considered a normal workout, only with heavier weights than most of us would max.

Poundstone is a freaking beast...

It's just an inhuman strength. PEDs will be the icing on the cake, without them they'd still be inhumanly strong (and enormous).
