Easiest would be (assuming no TL help): 1. get designs 2. pick one we like 3. print and buy our own from our own favourite websites (doesn't even need to be the same one) or even local corner store or friend's basement, etc. 4. post pictures
This way, we need no commitments and don't have to deal with money handling and shipping and all that overhead.

Like, I bet I could make a better TLHF T-shirt than any and all o y'all

We won't get that into the TL store but I don't see what is stopping us from designing a shirt. If only so that people can print it out locally themselves.

Good idea Cambium. International shipping can be pretty heavy. I suppose it may be worth the US guys grouping up but they could sort that.
|
I was thinking along the lines of printing our own, but that works too obviously

I believe it's much cheaper if they store is able to print them in bulk as opposed to as individual orders come in. It would probably make the most sense to get a commitment. Then again it could be the difference between $20 and $15 shirts so not that big a deal. It's been a while since I've dealt with shirts. I do have a friend that does graphic design and screen printing for a living...

If they were all going one place, it would be cheaper/easier to get them as a bulk order, but these are getting sent all around the world. Like was said a few posts back, it might even make sense for the ~10 of us in the US who would buy them to do it that way, but do you want to handle shipping to Europe? How about Asia?
|
Well I think it's still cheaper if you run the same print for multiple shirts, even if they get shipped to different locations but I could be off. At work or I would do some research

In regards to the person asking me about flexibility, I just got repeatedly yelled at and forced to stretch by somebody who does ballet.

'When in brome.... Squat anyways' was basically someone's suggestion earlier, with a 'bro' curling in the squat rack

The conversation ended last time after I asked someone with better graphics skills to clean it up, since it's pretty crude in its current form (MS paint lol.) Also maybe add a TL logo on the reverse side?

Why not?
Are they trying to cut down the number of products that they have in the store or something?
You would assume they would want to make the profit off of us, lol.

Maybe that's just me (and I'm more of a lurker in TL HF anyway - I'd like to buy a shirt tho if it's nice, as this forum had lots of influence on me), but I'd prefer something more neutral, by that I mean not any sport in particular (if that's even possible?!). I know weightlifting is kind of the bread and butter of TL HF, still there is so much more here.
It definitely should have a TL logo somewhere, but I'd prefer not on the back. I really don't like clothes at all with stuff on the back.
Designing something and everyone printing it himself is probably the easiest, and cheapest considering it had to be shipped all over the world. (as long as someone is willing to do the design, of course)
Just my 2 cents.
I'm not much of an artist so I don't think I can be of much help in the actual process. :/

I would prefer a big TLH&F with a cool quote in smaller font underneath or something to that effect. Edit: If anyone has suggestions I'll work on something with my graphic design graduate wife

I imagine there's some logistical/cost issues but there's also the precedent of sub-forums getting merchandise in the store which is probably something they don't want to start.

I can only find a link to the book from the main site. Randomly checked reddit and saw a link to the t-shirts :D.

SQUAT OR DIE.
just kidding i'd prefer something more motivational/badass than weightlifting oriented so that all can enjoy the shirt.

Trying out some different marketing tools with the shop. :p

It is already a nightmare to get the ESPORTS merchandise sales running. TL really can't globally sell items that maybe a few dozen people will buy in the end.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those tlhf textgraphics from a while back.
Decaf: Haven't forgot about your request, but keep on forgetting when I'm back there.
