Hey guys, I know I haven't posted in a while. It's mostly because I've been so pissed at not being able to go to the gym for months now and haven't felt like updating you guys ;(. I herniated a disk somehow and false diagnosed it for like 2 months and needed surgery like a week ago. I'm home recovering now and all I can think about is getting back into the gym and getting my life on track again.
It feels like all my fucking gains are just melting and all I can do is just lay here in bed and do shit. I've gotten over it though. I don't care if it takes me 3 years to get back where I was and beyond. What's 3 years out of my 90 year life? Not shit.
I'm going to do a real goals post soon. Probably when I can lift again, I don't know. I'll never give up though, you can count on that.
Edit: Also sorry to Celltech because I wanted to contribute to the Nov progress pics thread, but that was around the same time I had to stop training and was not in the mood. This Nov you can hold me to it.

God damn DimmuKlok I'm so sorry to read that. I hope you recover as soon as possible and don't rush your rehabbing!!!!

Don't worry, the gains always been come back faster the second time

My method involves "not getting it".

I'm not being a dick about it, it's just generally better to discuss health stuff like this with a Doctor.
source: I'm a med student.

From what I've heard about the US I can understand why he'd try elsewhere first. They have to pay for healthcare.

Yes, but still stuff like this is much better suited for a GP. Is it herpes from HSV1 or HSV2? I would like to assume it is genital herpes but you can't really be sure without a good interview and examination + tests.
But there are antiviral drugs out there that shorten the outbreaks.

Today at the gym: curlbros. Curlbros everywhere, taking all the barbells, SPOTTING each other doing curls.
Also, first day back after a week of flu or something, felt weak, sucked.

It's even funnier when they use curling as the basis of a threat. In the Army, it wasn't entirely uncommon to hear some idiot say "man, I curl almost 200 pounds, you know what I could do to you?".
They usually weren't particularly thrilled when the answer was "Pick me up". Unfortunately, I never did find out, because the people who said that shit tended to just stand there "man you don't even know you don't want this, let's step outside bitch".
Smirk, turn around and walk straight out the door, "Yeah punk better walk away".
Soldiers are kind of like chihuahuas when they're stateside. All talk, just never show any fear around them. Except that occasional psycho that tries to rip your leg off.

fuck me for even feeling bad over one god damned fucking comment Dude, I think a bit of levity would do you a lot of good. You're in this for the long haul, so you might as well figure out a way to look at this with some sort of optimism, or else you're gonna be miserable on top of having herpes.

I just got "schooled" on how I should always use the Smith machine for my glutes and squat often on it.

Easy, man. Herpes is something that gets joked around a lot and he didn't know the gravity of the situation. We're all supportive of each other here, try not to take a couple off hand comments to heart. It would definitely be best to get some professional help if you can find a way to afford it, I know health care can suck if you don't have insurance here.

Don't worry mate it's just herpes. 20% of Americans have it, whilst 80% have the oral variety (though many don't know they have it). That's a lot of people. And if you find a partner who also has herpes, it's kind of like neither of you have herpes.
That gives me a good idea for a new dating website...
But yeah hope it gets sorted, good luck and keep lifting.

I really was just there standing in awe at all the shit I was listening, I ended up with "are you serious? let's leave at that then, cheers" and walked off.
