Well, my parents believe that they can get the laws of physics temporarily suspended on their behalf, assuming they're unworthy enough to be worthy. The crystals might actually make more sense, from that perspective. ![]()

So I know lots of "don't do this" type shit.

I've relocated shoulders, put in IVs, know how to do a needle-chest decompression for a tension pneumothorax, can treat sucking chest wounds, know tourniquets, pressure dressings, I used to be CPR certified, I can do (and have done) mouth to mouth, and a few others fun things along those lines. Like, if someone is critically dehydrated (and not injured anywhere in the abdomen or chest), an enema can rehydrate them faster, along with not needing to stick them if their veins aren't particularly exposed (which is also good if they've lost blood...) So yeah. You picked a bad example, but the idea was right.

I've seen a few shoulders relocated and even witnessed a shoulder replacement surgery, and I'll tell you that there are few things in life that produce such awful sounds. Out of curiosity, do they teach you any tracheotomy techniques? I once helped my dad trach a dude whose jaw had been so badly impacted by a car crash that he was unable to breath through his mouth, but that pretty much sums up my emergency response experience. Well, good trauma first aid training is kind of critical in the military, since you can't exactly count on having the ability to call 911. Nothing like tracheotomy.
