Neymar is talented, there is no doubt of that. His problem is the constant diving.
South american football is filled with retarded and unskilled overpaid players who LoOoOOoVE to dive, and here referees don't let the game flow like in Europe. In some matches I think the game stops as much as american football.... you know, when we spend most of the time watching the ball stopped than rolling?
I hope Neymar gets a reality check in Europe and stops doing that shit. If he manages to do it, then you can expect a very good player yes, but not a Ronaldinho from Barcelona's time.
Media has overhyped Neymar way too much, and I think people are now expecting more than he can actually deliver.

If your going of of youtube videos and operate on the premise that a player not form La Masia wont fit its rather bleak for Barca in the coming years.
Dortmund and Bayern have a homegrown core but they still pick good players from around the place. thats how you balance.
Henry did alot of dirty work because he just wasnt as good as he used to be in addition adjutsing. I dont understand why one player has to be a number 2 or a 3 or 4th best player.
You will on the strength of your performances be allowed to express yourself.
Its to difficult to say what will happen but there is likely a plan in place and overthinking at this stage is just blowing noise out of an empty vessel.
Why do you feel the need to tell people when to comment or not comment on a subject? I even admitted that I had few information on the guy, but you're still there talking useless crap... Isn't this a forum, where everybody can express his opinion? I'm expressing my doubts there, not selling the truth or something. Neymar is presented by Rosell as the player of the future Barcelona, that will become the key player next to Messi. Allow me to doubt this choice. All I've seen from this guy has been excess of individuality, lots of parties, etc.. And we're going to base our team, the allegory of selflessness and sacrifice, on this guy?
Yes I may possibly be wrong, I have seen so few games etc... But allow me to doubt that this guy is going to be huge player Rosell is selling us...
Everyone has the same doubts you do. I dont think anyone in earnest can say its a genius move or anything. These are obvious observations that dont need any overthinking with comments like "I would rather he go to Madrid for X cash and fuck them up."
No I would rather he comes to play at Barcelona because they need some firepower. They are not good enough up front because La Masia is churning out Messi feeders. Which is great and the system is admirable but there needs to be more expression from Barcelona on an individual level. And Neymar will provide that.
Your leaning towards the fact that a green kid who has plenty to learn and offer will choose not to do so, why ? Because of some youtube videos and party news?
I think he will work every bit as hard as he needs to and thats the preferred assumption.
The only reasoning it seems for a Barcelona loss is a lack of motivation, laziness and general lethargy cuz we win to much lolz.
O and because Cesc is tactically inept. Yes blame it on Cesc (who has played just fine this season tbh)
At the end of the day in some respects they are just not good enough and the quicker thats accepted the quicker it will be remedied. They lack variety in their firepower and they are shorthanded defensively, injuries or no injuries.
They are one dimensional and I love that they dont try to change but adjustments within the system are clearly necessary because there isnt a massive gulf in talent between this team and other top teams anymore.
Steps are being taken to correct this. I really dont see the problem here.
Im not expecting him to redefine football or anything, but he has plenty to offer.

I wanna see in some time when he proves what a flop he is. Im portuguese and i dont even like Ronaldo all that much, but that silly dive boy isnt even a tenth of what Ronaldo is.

That's why I only talk about doubts... Can you read for once in your life?
I never blamed Cesc, I think he's a great player, but he's not good enough tactically, and if you disagree, I couldnt care less. He's a good sub but he will not replace Xavi nor Iniesta if he doesnt improve on that aspect...
I understand your view on why Neyma could bring something else to the team, but wouldnt Deulofeu be a less risky choice? He knows the principles of the barca system and he's the kind of guy that will keep the ball to score. You might say that he will probably end up being "Messi's slave" like Alexis or Pedro, but this is the manager's fault, not the players, and it will happen to Neymar if nothing changes.
And yeah I have the right to make the assumption that Neymar is too 'wild' for this Barca. He might prove me wrong and I would be happy, but the recent history says otherwise... If he has a strong personality there is a chance that he will be in competition with Messi (and will probably lose, like Ibra, Villa, ...); and if he is too nice he'll be Messi feeder player we already have in la Masia.
I'm not AGAINST this transfer, but I'm against how it is done. This bullshit about Rm and City proposing 120M€, just so Rosell can make us think 50-55M€ is a good deal, or that he is going to be the future of Barcelona (forcing Tito to put him on the field, burning Pedro, Tello, Alexis and Deulo), is what really pisses me off. And for what? A 21 y-o unproven party guy? Sorry that I don't like this...

The problem is getting him to leave. He's signed until 2016/2017 (I believe) and I don't know if 1) he has a buy-out clause like Götze did and 2) that he would leave as eagerly as Götze did.
Why did they buy Papastathopoulos then? He is not someone that can be benched, too good for that. I strongly believe that hummels will be bought by someone this summer.
As a top team you need at least 3 good CBs. Dortmund doesn't have a good 3rd CB with Santana leaving.
On May 27 2013 18:59 Steveling wrote: He is not someone that can be benched, too good for that.
is no argument for a top team. Sokratis will put pressure on Subotic. He can also play RB to an extend, with Piszczek having hip surgery, he will be playing there in the beginning of the new season, if Dortmund doesnt get a new RB.
Also, there is no point in selling Hummels. Dortmund has made enough money this season lol.

Allegri is not free, neither is Capello. Not that it means much. Please tell me more why you think Blanc is awful and Allegri is so good (honest question :p)
The situation around Allegri is unclear, Sky Italia reported that he was sacked and talking with AS Roma. When the first rumors about Capello started, they were talking about Qatari letting him coach the russian team, but yeah, it's a bit weird. About Blanc, I just don't think he is a good manager. When you watch Milan play this year, it was pretty good and Allegri even manage to do something with Balotelli. Bordeaux and France managed by Blanc were not exciting, and his leadership seems lacking too. But yeah I'm really worried for PSG, especially because Ancelotti seems like the perfect manager for us
Blanc is very good, he was elected manager of the year in his first year, won Ligue 1 on his second year, went with Bordeaux to the Champion's League quarter finals with the likes of Gourcuff, Chamakh and Alou Diarra xD. He has the second best record of undefeated games with the France national team behind Aimé Jacquet (France 98). He plays a possession game, offensive football which is very entertaining. As a player, he was a world-class defender and played with the very best.
So the agent of Jupp Heynckes said on the spanish radio that Jupp would accept the Real Madrid job. He is said to be Madrid's second choice after Ancelotti!
From El Confidencial, Neymar will cost 100M€. 32M€ for him (and his father) + 10M€ from last year's deal 32M€ for Santos' 55% 26M€ for the 45% left 8M€/year salary
Awesome. Now we know why Rosell called his friends in Sport and MD to publish news saying that Madrid and City proposed 120 and 140M€ for him! 100M€ is such a good deal!!!
I don´t know with Neymar. His offensive skills are impressive but what wins big games is the strategy, discipline and defense. I mean we saw at Dortmund vs. Bayern how insanely strong a team is where everyone defends. Bayern dominated Barca in the semis because Ribery/Robben/Müller did an amazing job on the defensive end and i´m questioning if Neymar is able and willing to do that.
And if you watch the videos of him most of the "highlights" are 1vs1 situation with the ball on his foot. In CL or against high level teams you will not have 1v1 situations that often especially with the 65+ ball possession that barca usually has. Be fast and good on the ball is not enough on the highest level where you have 11 defenders against you. What makes Messis so great is are not his ballskills, it its his ability to make the right decisions at high pressure situations.
