Was it Tito's decision or the players' lack of discipline this year? The good games they played, they were still pressing high. Messi needs to start doing it again, he needs to be the attacking leader and show how it's done like he used to do just two years ago. Iniesta needs to stop trying big plays and get back to his defensive duties from time to time... Barcelona cannot achieve anything if they don't press high because they are not a traditional team when it comes to defending, they need to get the ball back maybe 10s maximum after they lose it, else they'll concede counter attacks or they'll have to make a foul and risk a headkick goal..
I'm tired of people finding excuses for the players: 'Messi is Messi, he doesnt need to defend', 'Iniesta is doing magic, why would he spend time defending?', 'Xavi is old, let the young people do the dirty job'. Soon we'll have 8 players like that and just Busquets and Alves running like crazy to save the day... We won trophies as a team, we need to defend as a team, starting with the best player of all time...

Barça signed Romario in 1993 and Ronaldinho in 2003. Now Neymar in 2013 :D Hope he turns out to be as good as those two.

Noone will ever be as good as ronie, xD.

Even though that's only two games they're probably realizing now that he really needs a break.

Didn't you read about his injury? Apparently they harmed him by letting him play vs psg and bayern when he wasn't healed yet and his injury's condition has backfired. I just hope it won't be a career changing thing.

In that regard Neymar is good buy since he can take over for Messi in big games whenever he doesn't feel well as the big guy in the team who has to force something.

So... Chelsea win the Europa League - Benitez leaves Bayern win the Champions League (possible treble) - Heynckes leaves Manchester United win the Premier League - Ferguson retires PSG win the French league (after 10 years) - Ancelotti leaves All we need is for Tito to get the boot in Barcelona and we've got a nice little conspiracy going on

wow they risked messi's health just for quarterfinal advancement? thats so stupid by all parties

He got injured during the first half of the first game against PSG. Then they took him out of the bench just to make sure they could advance, during the second leg. And after that he stopped playing for 2 weeks, came out against Bilbao (I think) to score a wonderful goal, then 3 days later he didn't run a minute against Bayern. Didn't play the next game, nor the second leg... And now he's out for the rest of the season...
When you're pressured, you make mistakes. If Barca didn't concede that stupid goal in the last minute vs PSG in Paris, he probably would have stayed on the bench and just played against Bayern... Anyway, with or without him they would have lost the same Now he gets the rest of the season and summer to heal, even though I heard that Argentina called him for the June friendlies? That's terrible

These sort of Brazilian players are generally a risks that might pay off. Neymar might be another Ronaldo or might just be another Kleberson. Time will tell.

1-0 Lazio in the Coppa Italia. 20 minutes to go.
And Roma hits the crossbar just a minute later!
And that's time, Lazio win 1-0. Lulic scored the winner.

Did Benfica Lissabon pull a Bayern (three times 2nd place) this season?

Now the issue is that even Fabregas that has been in la masia and plays for Spain with the same players, is too weak tactically (at least for now) to play for Barcelona. Just look at yesterday's CL final, both team were so good at teamwork.. These last years, the team that managed to play as one block managed to win the CL. Additionaly, can Neymar play for other players like Messi? Can he just be the number 2 (or 3 because Iniesta is the 2nd most important offensive player for Barca)? Because he will have to do a lot of dirty work like Henry did when he arrived there ('The coach asks me to defend more than to attack', whine whine), and what caused Pedro to replace him after some time. Because Neymar will have to win his spot against Alexis and Pedro who are both sacrificing so much to help the team be balanced... If he can, then I'll be glad I was wrong. But I, for now, am doubting a lot about his integration...
Then why do people feed the need to comment,
If your going of of youtube videos and operate on the premise that a player not form La Masia wont fit its rather bleak for Barca in the coming years.
Dortmund and Bayern have a homegrown core but they still pick good players from around the place. thats how you balance.
Henry did alot of dirty work because he just wasnt as good as he used to be in addition adjutsing. I dont understand why one player has to be a number 2 or a 3 or 4th best player.
You will on the strength of your performances be allowed to express yourself.
Its to difficult to say what will happen but there is likely a plan in place and overthinking at this stage is just blowing noise out of an empty vessel.

Such a waste of talent. I am glad Chelsea didn't buy him though, i would much rather Chelsea bought Lewandowski or Michu and tried with what we already have. I do hope Monaco get better, but the next 12months of Falcao Moutinho and Rodriguez career is going to be bedding into a Monaco team trying to get a champions league place in Ligue 1....instead of going to another club which is already in the champions league for example.
Oh well atleast Atletico Madrid and Porto are happy with the money they have XD

Porto 2 - 1 Benfica Chelsea 2 - 1 Benfica V. Guimaraes 2 - 1 Benfica
This after a run with only 1 loss (vs Fenerbahce in the EL semis) since October.

Sick goal by Alexis :D Such a great talent, people can't see shit when they think he is bad lol
Español being as lame as Madrid when they lose, but without the actual good players. The racist chants all game long didn't help.

No he is good, really good. It's just that people have very high standards for the people that are supposed to score alongside messi, to help him when he's off and well, we know how that goes.
Btw what's neymar's position?
