They need to do something about the back 4 though. Mascherano/Pique/Bartra/Adriano clearly cannot cut it on an international level.

I do hope Monaco get better, but the next 12months of Falcao Moutinho and Rodriguez career is going to be bedding into a Monaco team trying to get a champions league place in Ligue 1....instead of going to another club which is already in the champions league for example. Oh well atleast Atletico Madrid and Porto are happy with the money they have XD you better get used to it,lots of big players are going to go to psg and monaco in the years to come, the only teams able to compete will be madrid/united/munich/barca,others wont have enough money/prestige

We scored early vs Guimarães, controlled the game, until minute 79 when, after a GK mistake, Guimarães scored beneffiting from off-side position. Two minutes later they shoot from outside the area, the ball gets deflected off Luisão and the GK is tricked and doesn't reach the ball even though it went pretty much in the middle of the goal. What a cold shower.

What a cold shower. But you understand you can't just throw money at it with the FFP rules incoming? Chelsea make money even when they spend £50million on Torres and 30Million on Hazard they still turn over a profit which is fine. I rather doubt PSG and Monaco have the income from sponserships/sales to compete with the links of Barca/Real/United. And if they fail to meet the FFP rulings they wont be able to compete in Champs League thus they wont be able to get the best players?

Their first profit since Abramovic and only because they won the CL but yeh their turnover is way bigger. I'm kinda worried about the weird debt construction they have going with Abramovic though.

It's the kind of construction that if/when abramovic leaves the club will start the next season in league 3.

Not to rain on your parade, but Chelsea's 1.4m profit was reported before the summer splurge on Hazard, Oscar et al. Without the gigantic CL revenue, Chelsea will most certainly be back in the red when the latest figures come out. edit: Not that it matters, as Abramovich is too clever to get penalized by FFP. Chelsea will eventually comply with all the regulations. I have no clue how Monaco will survive though. On top of Falcao, they might bring in Valdes and others!

I think alot of people are taking FFP rules and looking at media reported debt at face value numbers and assuming there are going to be problems. There are a fair bit of accounting practices and definitions that clubs will use to get around most of the qualifications set by UEFA. And there is little UEFA can do about it since for most cases attemps to change definitions and accounting practice requirements to close loopholes will adversely affect people doing it legitimately and so on and so forth. So I wouldnt worry to much about these clubs spending so much money. If people think that someone forking over 150 million for 3 players didnt consider the FFP and have some contingency in place then I dont even know what to say.. The clubs that actually need to worry about FFP reside exclusively in Spain and its not the big 2.

I agree that Chelsea will be totally fine, I was just pointing out that they aren't making money.

Chelsea Football Club has also recorded a record group turnover of £255.7 million, making Chelsea the fifth largest club in Europe in terms of revenue. Source But isn't it turnover is how much you can spend on players which is how the FFP rulings work? I know it's not "debt debt" but in face value it is the debt. If you have a turnover of £255million for example, and you don't have a massive chunk going out to the bank/suppliers then your free to use 255million on players/wages right? But where is PSG and Monaco going to get that from? Marsielle and Lyon have the biggest incomes in French football according to lasts year Deloitte money league. 135millon and 131million respectively. PSG and Monaco not even in the top 2 And yeah i was listening to the sky sports commentators commentating the Real Madrid game vs Sociedad and they said that there is a number of clubs in Spain that wont be allowed in Europe next season (of course not Real/Barca) wonder if Atletico might fall into that category, i know they sold Falcao for a lot but they do have huge debt no? I also know that UEFA said they are "looking into" the way Man City are doing there "fancy" paperwork on the matter. As they owners company has bought the sponership rights to the Stadium and the shirts in one of the biggest sponsership deals to eat away at their debt.

Dortmund and Bayern have a homegrown core but they still pick good players from around the place. thats how you balance. Henry did alot of dirty work because he just wasnt as good as he used to be in addition adjutsing. I dont understand why one player has to be a number 2 or a 3 or 4th best player. You will on the strength of your performances be allowed to express yourself. Its to difficult to say what will happen but there is likely a plan in place and overthinking at this stage is just blowing noise out of an empty vessel. Why do you feel the need to tell people when to comment or not comment on a subject? I even admitted that I had few information on the guy, but you're still there talking useless crap... Isn't this a forum, where everybody can express his opinion? I'm expressing my doubts there, not selling the truth or something. Neymar is presented by Rosell as the player of the future Barcelona, that will become the key player next to Messi. Allow me to doubt this choice. All I've seen from this guy has been excess of individuality, lots of parties, etc.. And we're going to base our team, the allegory of selflessness and sacrifice, on this guy? Yes I may possibly be wrong, I have seen so few games etc... But allow me to doubt that this guy is going to be huge player Rosell is selling us...

I mean guy has some quick feet, and he does troll the Brazillian, will be great if he can improve in Barca. Personally i would of rather seen him go to a better "managed" club in terms of manager at the helm. Like Neymar + Bayern + Pep would of been a dream environment for him to learn and become a top professional. But still, Tito has been ill this season (last season) guess i can't judge him too much, and he still lol'd La Liga.
