Sometimes ? Ibra cant be good if he doesnt carry teams. Thats how he is. So its a big double edged. Hes used to everything going through him for years. It was somewhat less prounced at Milan (Barca doesnt really count). But the 3 years with Mancini the instructions were literally "play a cagey defensive minded line up. add one playmaker GIVE BALL TO IBRA. IBRA GO WIN GAME" If Messi was similar to Ibra in the carry respect Barca would have problems. He spends alot more time doing jack shit in most games compared to Ibra. Ibra so effing strong and talented man. Just lob the ball upto him and GG.

that being said I didn't watch the other goals but I heard his performance was pretty poor in general. however I think the 4-2 goal hardly even constitutes a mistake on his behalf. like, kinda, because he definitely shouldve given the ball more of a forward thrust, but what he ends up doing really isn't so bad. it also seems like attacking the ball was the best solution. and well, just like how some of his more stellar recent performances didn't make him the world's best goalkeeper, he didn't become the not-best goalkeeper due to one game. ![]()

I wouldnt give him any stick for that tbh. He had a relatively poor game anyway. Emphasis on relatively.

Ibra is a game changer, while Messi is just a gifted dribbler and passer who scores more than anyone else. Not that Ibra would have a bigger influence on the argentinian national team because most of its players have a comparable ego while Ibra needs to be the only legit player in the team in order to perform.

Yeah because Sweden is winning every world cup. Dot dot dot. Nowadays teams don't win world/eurocups because of one player. And Messi is carrying Argentina.

He has hardly ever performed on the biggest stages, champions league etcetc, he hadn't scored vs an english club until last season in his amazing career. Messi is by far more important than Ibra at any level in any team. Problem is Argentina have shocking coaches reason they are poor. When they had a good coach they won things and were very competitive. Game changer is not what he is, he is a player with the ability to win games, like many a player around the world. England have Rooney/Gerrard/Lampard type players who can win games, Sweden have one..Ibra, Argentina, have lots and most of them are on the bench. DiMaria/Messi/Aguero/Lavezzi/Higuain/Rodreguiz all match winners if they do something brilliant just like Ibra.

I said he needs to be the biggest ego on his team in order to perform and that's why he carries PSG and Sweden more than Messi - allegedly best player blah blah blah - is with Barcelona or Argentina. PSG wouldn't be able to dominate the L1 without him, not would sweden be able to beat England - despite England having the worst professional goalkeeper of all premier team. Hence he is a game changer or a team changer if you like. Something Messi is not. Teal deer : Buying Ibra + a bunch of good defensive players is more cost efficient than buying Messi and the supporting cast he needs.

but you can't judge a game just from watching the highlights can't really compare that, but has anyone seen the argentinia-brazil game from the futsal world cup recently? carrying a team in a good way is what happened when falcao came from the bench.
