So I just spent the last day being sick. I'm not sure what it was, but man it's been a while since I puked so hard. I must have not cooked some food throughly enough, holy shit. I neeed to enforce cooking hygeine. I'm trying to do leangains with 1k meat a day & rice, but after yesterday im not so sure.

Im thinking a protein/carb bucket would be cheaper than meat anyway. 10.82 USD per meal and it seems unviable with my student economy.

Squat: 340lbs - 3-2-2 - decaf, thanks for the suggestion on a higher bar position. I moved the bar up an inch or two, and it helped out a bit. Gotta get used to this though
Incline Bench: 135lbs: 5-5-5
DL: 335lbs - 5

A little update from me:
So, im getting closer and closer to my first goals. Unfortunately a lot of traveling lately has been in the way for workouts. Also, i got the flue and couldn't train for a week, and couldn't train hard for another week.
Current lifts (3x5):
Squat - 65 kg
Deadlift - 80 kg
Bench - 45 kg (guess i won't be joining your 100kg race
Press - 30
Pull-ups - 7,6,4

Is the deadlift supposed to be that much higher than squats in SS? Guess I'm not deadlifting enough, oops

80kg on 1 set of 5 vs 65kg on 3 sets of 5 would be pretty equal imo.

Deadlift is most of the time higher than Squats.

hmm.. i guess i should ask here since i don't really know anyone that does SS

i'm at
(3x5)
Squat - 87.5kg
Bench - 55kg
Press - 37.5kg
Deadlift(1x5) - 70kg

should be noted that my deadlifts are that low because it took me ages to get the deadlift form and i've been pussying out from doing them, but it's not gonna be a problem if i keep increasing my deadlift at a higher rate than my squats is it?

also, i've been trying to do deadlifts every session, mostly because i wanted to get it going (and i have no idea what a back extension is) but i hear it's not good to do this, why?

Figure it's time I get back in the game... I've taken too long of a hiatus

Where I'm at right now:
Height: 5'8-5'9 (don't really know)
Weight: 160-165
Age: 25

Squats: 3x5x165 (see below)
Bench: 3x5x140
DL: 1x5x260
OHP: 3x5x95
Chins: 2x6

Where I'd like to be at the end of the year (goals!)
Height: 6'2 (jk, but that would be nice)
Weight: 175-180
Age: Still 25.

Squats: Breaking 300
Bench: Breaking 200!
DL: Breaking 400!
OHP: Breaking 135
Chins: Not quite sure, but definitely have more reps/sets and throw some plates on that bitch

Side Goals (Gym related): I'd like to be able to Power Clean and do BB Rows effectively. It's the main reason why I'm doing Chins instead of PCs and BB Rows for Starting Strength. I have no faith in my form doing them lol . I'm going to start adding them in assistance exercises at the end of my workouts (non DL Days) and see what I can do with them. Eventually I'd like to transfer over to PCs/BB Rows being the main exercise and chins being the assistance, but for now I'll go HAM on the chins and use light weights on the Cleans and Rows. Also learn not to worry about not having visible abs. While doing SS I'm going to have to focus on eating a lot. 3500-4000 kcal and if I put on 10-15 lbs I'll lose whatever visible abs I have right now (it's okay though my 2pac abs is gonna die. Biggie is gonna kill him).

Side Goals (Non Gym related): Learn to surf, fix up car and trade in for bike, Fuck B's Get Money, practicar mi espanol, and whatever the fuck else I feel like doing just do it.

Injuries I've incurred (aka: the reason why I have bitch squats): On Jan 30th when I first started going back to the gym after a 4 month hiatus (4 months! ), I tried warming up with squats and tweaked something in my groin muscle. Not sure what, but it's something around here:

As a result of this injury, I was unable to squat for about 3 weeks, and once I got back into it I took it SLOW. I know that at least in theory, my squat could/should be a lot higher (I was hitting 230 before my break), but fuck man, that injury set me back and hurt a lot. As of right now, I need to tape my squat to check my form, but I think I'm doing alright... just a question of depth (when is it not?). The strain still sort of lingers and if I go past a certain point I start feeling some pain in it.

My Bench and Press are weak as shit, but I think it's technique related. Frankly I think my whole upper body is weak as shit. Side note: reread SS and watch the DVDs and work on improving the techniques. DL still feels pretty good and I don't really notice the strain with my groin at all when doing it. I think I can get that up to 315 in a month or so (I was pulling close to that before I got lazy).

Idra is actually pretty strong for a skinny looking guy. I only bench 80kg and I'm probably a similar size.

125kg Squat (PR) 3 x 5 (shitty form on the last rep of the last set, but I pulled it, and felt great about myself :D)
80kg Bench Press 3 x 5 (I really don't know what's going on, I can't lift more than this , I'm a sad sad funkie).
155kg Deadlift (PR) 1 x 5 (very nice! good form! and good speed too! . I'm so pumped to be lifting 180kg by year end! :D

I was sore as fuck on saturday, but the fact taht I went drinking heavily on friday night might have not helped at all haha. good stuff!
