And the day has only started. First of all I went to bed at around 10PM last night, like a good boy. I couldn't relax though so I probably fell asleep around 11-11:30. Woke up due to the alarm at 06:30 feeling half dead. Snoozed until 7. Then snoozed some more. Still dead. Fuck it, get out of bed, get my shit in order. The morning is a daze. I barely remember how I got to the gym, I just remember there were annoyances and bad decision making on my part. I feel weak. The escalator going up from the metro was packed so I made another bad decision and walked up the broken down one next to it. It had something close to or at least approaching infinity steps, I could barely lift my legs in the end. Some warmup. Get in the gym, do everything backwards, like put on my shoes before my pants, shit like that. I'm on another planet. I get up to the weight room, start doing specific warmups, I'm fucking weak and even more inflexible than usual. I tell myself it's all in my head and to stop being such a pussy. I slap myself in the face and on my neck to get my point across. First squat warmup set, 60% of RM, all the weight is on my toes and I'm basically yawning and wanting to go back to bed in mid-squat. Getting pissed. Do 3 reps at 80% which were shit and then I make another bad decision to keep going. I rest for about 3 minutes and start my work set. I finish one rep, almost falling over, then I get the fuck out of there and go shower. Feel I need to chill out so I go in the sauna. No ladle in the waterbucket, just a cup. Pour water on the hot rocks like a retard so now I got second degree burns (no joke, fucking blisters) on my forearm. Put forearm in ice cold water, put lots of lotion shit on it, get the fuck out, come to work, find out a script I've made has hung itself, filling our databases with a shitload of garbage. I don't know what happened, maybe I overtrained, maybe it's because I'm on a cut, but I'm a weak retard today. Struggled with my squats today, couldn't get close to last weeks workset, so ended up ramping to 5kg less than last week. Guess thats what 5 days without food and with too much alcohol does to you. | ||

Well, if you know you might be developing an imbalance, put some specific hamstring work into your routine. Even if it's adding to a set program like Starting Strength or whatnot. Better to be safe/healthy and mess with the program, than to potentially become injured. | ||
