I will not be with her for about three months total so that's time for me to focus on my diet/exercise. Oh my God you don't know how many times she, her mom, or dad has tried to stuff my face. >,<

No, the center of gravity is always in the middle of the barbell assuming no weights have been sliding out. The force will still be exactly the same. There's a ton of things which can make a lift easier than the previous session, sleep, food and water would be the more important ones.

Since i havent maxed my lifts on SL yet(im just starting from SL). what do you guys think about it? There basically almost the same program, if you want to do Power Cleans do SS, if not do SL. It's as simple as that, both of them will give you tons of results as a beginner, just pick one, stick to it, and don't change it.

Other than that I don't think there's too much of a difference. If you prefer your current exercises (rows rather than cleans), then you can probably stick with those and just change it to 3x5.

Does this still mean I should be doing 4 warm up sets, I have been. But was not sure how many reps to do on warm up, I've just been doing 4 sets of 5 rep warm up. Any clarification would be nice thanks. Post what you do in an actual routine On February 21 2012 23:49 rEiGN~ wrote: surely there's some kind of consensus on if 5x5 squats from the very start yields better results than 3x5 Depends on if you're doing pyramidal/ramp sets or straight across sets. SS is 3x5 straight across, SL5x5 is ramping/pyramidal for work sets There's pros and cons of each.... Most intermediate level routines use 5x5 straight across FWIW.... like Bill Starr's 5x5. So right after you stop making linear gains, then 5x5 straight across may be needed. Make sense?

I'm assuming they're waiting since they were sitting idly and had their eyes on the racks. i swear i must have an eye for telling if someone's almost done cuz no one asks. i've always felt like the biggest troll in the gym since i would do what i said above and spend 30-40min on the rack lolol, but is this necessarily an unaccepted behavior in the gym? I would be pretty annoyed if someone did this. I don't know if it's especially unacceptable in the gym, but it's a pretty selfish thing to do in general (skipping the queue). At the very least I think you could ask the other guys if they are waiting for the squat racks or not.

it annoys me that when I'm occupying the squat rack for a long time and people don't have the balls to come and ask if I'm done soon implying that they'd like to do use it. odds are there's room for two people squatting and pressing together.
