Not sure whether to be mad or not. Depends on how many of them turn out to be at least 18. Just for the record, I suggest you should just treat them human beings and not fuss over their age and what not. Thinking of them as being underage does not make you come across as a good person, just a shallow, one-track mind kind of guy. If one does come on to you in a way then worry about it, before then just treat them with some respect, help them out if they ask for it (or even if they don't, just to be a good human being). Hell, maybe it could help them understand the importance of weights for female fitness. Odds are they're just having fun if they're a group. Just carry on working out as normal. It sounds like you're defensive and upset that a group that isn't your own would dare step foot in your gym and partly egotistical in assuming they're interested (which could geniunely be the case, I wasn't there.) I've constantly asked other people who look like they know they're doing to spot me or check my form. It's just part of the gym community. You help each other out. You just need to relax and continue as normal. If you're worried about other members thinking you're coming on to underage girls then you should be old enough to know how to deal with stupid people. I don't normally post stuff like this, but something about the way your post is written rubbed me the wrong way. I think you just got the wrong idea. I didn't read any territorial stuff into his post, just the basic and obvious fact that hot young women wearing very little clothing are distracting, and I totally sympathize with the pain of being distracted at the gym. I'm there to do my thing, trying to get into my Zen before attempting a new PR but if I see a good looking girl in yoga-pants my mind tends to wander and I fail my mission.
Inb4 "you need to get laid". If you don't see how it's distracting to be around hot young women wearing very little clothing there's something wrong with you.

For the people who don't want to read, I did, and this is the TL:DR version:
My mind goes banana's when watching hot ass and nice pair of tits, being virtually covered by no clothes. ?

Going back over my post with the idea that is WAS intended in a derogatory manner certainly makes it seem as if that's correct; but it was originally written in an entirely more light-hearted "wink wink" spirit, and going over it with that in mind, I stand by everything I said.
I'm sure everyone in this thread can understand when they're being hit on, and when a girl who's wearing Ballet shorts and a cut up T-shirt walks up to you during an exercise, giggles, and compliments you, or feels your shoulder, or acts interested in what you're doing only so long as you keep giving her your full attention... Well, the sentiment was quite clear. Of course I don't mind answering questions at the gym for anyone who's trying to improve, and I've never said "no" to a spot, or checking someone's form without an outside factor on the decision. As far as the other members - besides these girls (who's presence didn't "offend" me, so much as surprise me) I've only seen six other people at the gym for more than a single night, two of them being college guys my age, and I've lifted there for a total of around five months over breaks. That's why the "deal" and the classes exist, and the girls are there in the first place.
On a tangent, next time I post rubs you the wrong way, I'd urge you to take it to a PM. No one wants a big debate (over girls and etiquette in this case, and over balance mostly, on the rest of TL =p) to derail a thread and result in a half dozen warnings being handed out!

I like to believe I'm at the gym first of all for my own self-esteem and my own health. Also since I discovered "proper" weightlifting I've started to enjoy it. But it's pretty obvious most people go to the gym in an effort to become more attractive and get laid.
Personally I'd like at least this board, the TL oasis, to be strictly fitness related. I mean, it's on the internet, hot young women (AND articles about gender equality) are like one, literally one, click away. That said, nothing wrong with gymstories. Maybe there were underage ballet dancers at your gym coming on to you, maybe a lion got loose and shredded all the curlbros. It's a gym-related story, and I enjoy those.

imo this thread is pretty "off-topic" so every discussion should be ok as long as there is some loose connection to fitness/working out so if someone posts a gym-story I dont see why people cant comment on it!
in other news: this RPT stuff is pretty good I think. there is a huge psychological advantage to just doing one heavy set of squats instead of three. especially if you are on a cut and are low on energy anyway!
my cut is going pretty nicely. lost about 1.5-2kg in the last month, and even made some gains in my deadlift (180x5->187.5x5). still got a long way to go but it's a start

By that logic, this post is stupid too. But I acknowledge it. fuck you all. Long live the bitches in short skirts and cut up shirts.

Ive posted this Q in general nutrition requirements but I get no answer. Can anyone draw up an approximate menu for a 6.4, 80 kg guy without protein supplements or milk? Has to be realistic for a student.
Like a sample daily menu, maybe something you use. I cant come up with anything decent since it requires a ton of calories

Given that steak, chicken breast, tuna and 4 eggs have like 1600 calories average... And how is this sustainable for a student? I cant afford all this shit on a daily basis, I dont even think average salaryman can lol
When I asked for a sample I meant actual menu for 1 day, possibly with portion sizes.

Try reading the nutrition OP and drawing up your own menu, since you're A: not giving any information, and B: you seem picky, and C: you know your own budget.
A basic idea would be: Breakfast, Eggs and oatmeal. Lunch, Fish, banana, some sort of veggie. Dinner, pork chops, apple, vegetable or beans.
But you need to know how much you want to eat, how much you can spend, price things out, and then just find a way to work it into your own budget. Most good grocery stores will usually have one or two meat specials running, just try to live off those. Used to do it when me and my wife were both unemployed when she got fired right after my medical retirement from the Army went through.

I'm roughly the same size.
Right now I'm home, so my meals are about the same every day.
Breakfast: 4 Eggs Scrambled with just pepper (280 cal/24g protein) 4 strips of Bacon (140 calories/12g protein)
Lunch: 10 oz can tuna (320 calories/70g protein) Carrots or a spinach salad (~1 cup, I don't count these as calories) Probably one of my sister's cereal bars, just for the carbs and calories, (230 cal/4g protein)
Dinner: ~1 lb (when raw) of ground beef for my dinner (grass fed 80% lean <3) - 800 calories/80g protein Carrots, snowpeas, Spinach, Peppers, Broccoli, or other steamed vegetable (~1 cup, I don't count these)
That's ~1800 calories. I make up the rest in snacks, which I eat throughout the day.
2 oz almonds (320 calories/12g protein) 3 oz extra sharp cheddar cheese (~320 cal/21g protein) 1 grapefruit or 2 oranges (80 cal or 120 cal respectively) 1/2 gallon whole milk (1200 calories/62g protein)
There's 3700 cal/~280g of protein in this meal plan, and none of the meals are "too big" for me, so it's comfortable to eat. It's pretty mu8ch all low or un processed foods, and the only oils I use for cooking it are butter or coconut. The cereal bars have to go, but they will when I move out again at the end of the month. It should be enough calories and protein to see me to at least 210 pounds, and probably all the way to my goal of 220 (which I want to hit by march). The only supplements I take is creatine, a multivitamin, and fish oil which I'm currently out of. I take the creatine with a little fruit juice when I wake up, and the other two with my first glass of milk, usually ~1 hour later.
edit: I know you said no milk, I'm just listing what I eat. You'll have to come up with 1200 cals somewhere else. The protein doesn't really need to be replaced. And yes, I am a student, I just work two jobs (and another half job in the spring) as well as going to school and playing rugby to pay my rent, internet, and grocery bills. We don't have cable and my landlord covers my heat. We don't bother with AC.

Can anyone draw up an approximate menu for a 6.4, 80 kg guy without protein supplements or milk? Has to be realistic for a student.
Like a sample daily menu, maybe something you use. I cant come up with anything decent since it requires a ton of calories Steaks, Beef, Chicken breast, Fish, Tuna, Eggs, vegetables and fruits. rinse repeat. Given that steak, chicken breast, tuna and 4 eggs have like 1600 calories average... And how is this sustainable for a student? I cant afford all this shit on a daily basis, I dont even think average salaryman can lol When I asked for a sample I meant actual menu for 1 day, possibly with portion sizes. Chicken and (lean) minced beef are both very affordable, even for a student. I'm fairly close to your stats, and my daily diet looks something like:
Breakfast: I follow a very loose leangains, so I generally skip breakfast. Lunch: 350-400g skinless chicken (430 calories, 90g protein), and an assortment of veggies/rice/whatever else goes with the meal (250 calories). Dinner: 350-400g lean minced beef (480 calories, 80g protein), and an assortment of veggies/pasta/whatever else goes with the meal (250 calories).
That gives me my recommended protein for the day (170g) and around 1400 calories (the other calories you can fill up with whatever you like, depending on your dietary requirements/preferences). In South Africa, both minced beef and chicken cost around 6$ per kg, so the day's chicken and beef together would have cost me around 4$. Some meals I regularly make include chicken stir fry, chicken fried noodle, spaghetti bolognaise, and beef tortillas.
Hope that helps.

325lb raw squat PR!
A guy saw me do this and then spent the next 15 minutes following me around the gym alternating between telling me his life story and telling me how awesome I am.
