LOL i tried it yesterday too. 10x175kg squats = fucking shoot me. I'm modifying it (a lot) did 10rm for squats, only hit 7rm on push press (lol so weak) and then did hang snatch doubles and jerk blocks.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Thanks for the links. and yeah her technique >> her strength. i really don't think her technique could really get much better, just needs more power. I think her FS/BS are around 105 and 110 so that's why she missed those cleans. she's been working on it more recently though.

hope ian wilson kills it out there.

p.s. this LSUS program is brutal/retarded LOL. i had to explain to the less experienced lifters that they should never do this program. snatch grip deadlifts are HARD after the first five.

yeah i am trying to ease myself into the 10 reps but I will push hard for the next 3 weeks. It is a nice change of pace which I am enjoying :D

kendrick's 10rm is 65kg higher than mine. at probably 10kg less bw. fuck my life. also, probably not gonna be able to walk tomorrow after that 5x10x152 and my upper body is all sorts of sore from the pressing.

Looking better everytime. can't tell for sure but looks like your knees are close together on the pull. try spreading them out, even if not till after the bar clears your knees. hysen is an exaggerated example of the knees in than out thing

Try to take videos from an angle to the side, sort of like the video decaf posted. Better view of the lift.

I'm having some problems with the snatch. I'm doing something wrong that creates a lot of tension on my left forearm extensors, they get so tight that it becomes painful to hold anything over 50kg overhead. I was recording myself today to see if i caught anything and my shoulders look uneven in the finish and in the catch. When I catch the bar it looks so crooked lol even with a lightweight. I don't always do this but when I do it hurts like a bitch and it i can't snatch heavy for several days. I've tried to work through it but my hand literally shakes after every lift, the pain shoots down my whole forearm. It's like the third time this has happened in ~7 months. I've been keeping the snatch on 50kg since sunday, it feels better now.

Back view - my arms and shoulders look uneven like I'm pulling more with one side. I make sure my hands are even in the start so I don't think it's a grip width issue.

This is the worst catch of today lol, it's way too crooked, not all of them are so extreme but I guess this is a good example of what I think it causing my forearm to work more.

I've got no idea how to fix it. I might start doing some light shoulder exercises to activate everything back there before or after training.

in this vid, it looks like your are pulling earlier with your right arm

It might be the camera angle though.

im looking through some other vids and i dont really see anything. Add some snatch pulls/deadlifts to reinforce the first pull. Maybe some upper back work too.

Yeah I try to think about moving my feet to help me drop faster but that makes me cut my pull short. I've tried throwing my head back a bit and I think it helps me finish better, gotta practice it though.

Today we got together for a little max out sunday. There were 4 other guys besides me, all lifting and hitting PRs. This ~52kg crossfit guy hit like 3 PRs on the snatch doing a bit over bodyweight it was nuts haha. The guy I always train with hit his goal of 135lb. So much energy in the room, everyone slamming the bar, cheering, yelling and drinking monsters. Everyone hit at least one PR so I had to step my game up lol. I hit PRs for 190lb on the snatch and 235lb on the c&j. The 190lb felt really good compared to my past 185lb. On all of my misses I had it in down the catch but I kept losing my balance forward. The c&j was a bit of a press out but I'll take it lol. Nearing 200kg total! Vids later.

Loving that environment you have Donkeys, keep the progress vids coming man. In a few months you'll watch them again and wonder why you had so much trouble doing those weights.

Though I've noticed that in both the snatch and the clean, you have pretty early arm bend. It's especially evident in the right elbow but it could be symmetrical and just hard to see from the angle that the video was taken from. I would say you'd have better luck keeping the bar closer to you if you didn't unlock your elbows so early in the snatch as that seems to bring the bar into your hips in a big loop versus if your elbows were locked it would be a more straight glide up your thighs and into your hips.

I can't say much about the clean though, mine is atrocious =p
