technically your clean can and SHOULD be higher than your front squat provided maximum efficiency because you descend into the bottom of the clean much faster than a squat and if you properly use the stretch reflex/elasticity of your joints, muscles, and tendons this should result in you being able to stand up with more weight. Provided you can pull it lol.

Your ratio is actually really impressive, one of the highest i've ever seen. That being said you need to add like 50kg to your front squat lol

Interesting.. I front squat like 60lb more than I clean so (PRs are 280 & 220)

Nice snatch MeShiet! I wish I could catch that low lol. I'm definitely catching lower that I was a month ago but I still got room for a lot of improvement. Had my last heavy-ish day on monday, hit 160lb for a double on the snatch and c&j'd up to 200lb. Did some front squat doubles up to 115kg on tuesday and today I did like 20 snatches with 95lb and c&js with 115lb to work on technique a bit. The guys at my gym got a bunch of mobility wow posters and I messed around a bit with lacrosse balls and resistance bands lol. Taking thursday off and maxing out on friday!

I just lost my shit. Really. Kendrick Farris is coming down to a xfit in Mexico (2.5-3 hours drive from me) to give a weightlifting seminar on June 8th. I really went fucking nuts because nothing like this ever happens in Mexico. Only 20 spots though, gonna pay ASAP.

Really curious to see how that goes...listening to him commentate the American Open last year was laughable. And i dont really agree with his training at all. Or his technique. Then again he's an olympian with like ten years more experience than me.

Haha yeah, he's not my favorite lifter. I would much rather take a Pendlay seminar, or even one of Jon North's. But I can't be picky in Mexico lol.

Jon North is coming here next weekend for a seminar at eleiko in chicago. I dont think i'm going to go as I don't think i'd get my money's worth in terms of improvement. I'm mostly just curious as to what they're like lol

Maxed out on Friday. Snatched up to 170lb then jumped up to 185lb for a PR. Missed it 13 times and finally got it on the 14th try lol. Then I went 185, 195, 205, 225(PR), 230x, 230x, 230x on the c&j. Finished off with a squat max but it sucked, my back and legs were done by that point. Gonna do a lot more squats and pulls during the next weeks, I don't think I can go much higher in the sn and c&j with my current squat.

Trust me you can go plenty higher with your current strength. Looks like you're cutting your pull short on your sn/clean. Also, you have to ALWAYS commit to the lift. As soon as you come off the floor you should already be ready to get under the bar. Remove from your mind the fact that just pulling the bar is even an option. If you ever fail it should be underneath the bar.

Serious.... His CJ is crazy. Wonder if he will move up to 69kg though... I read that his training weight is around 66kg.

EDIT: Wait.. nvm he's only 5'1-5'2 like 156cm. I don't seem him going up to 69kg at all then. Kinda short for that class.
