looool i was like 1000lbs what the hell then i watched that clip and forgot all about it
going to work is so weird now im working out. your body is like elevated constantly so you dont feel tired in the same way. usually i would be dropping dead from fatigue and from the heat but theres like a grip around me holding me up, hard to explain, almost like i have more energy
its a bit like "i was straining my ass off earlier today so im not gonna let this shitty job and conditions bring me down"

The more you keep working out the more energy you'll have in general. It literally makes you a better person :D
Hi guys! I'm new to this thread but I've been hitting the gym for the last few months (for the first time in my life) and loving it. I could use some advice on a problem I have with squatting though. I started out with the SS program but when I got to 50+ kg with the squat I started getting a really sharp pain in my left elbow, bad enough that I didn't think it'd be good to just keep going. I tried both low bar and high bar but the same problem keeps popping up when going higher in weight. I'm doing a some front squatting right now which is going fine but I'd like to start working on my back squat again. Any idea's how I can fix this problem?

Go into a room, fill out a survey about diet and exercise (which is basically asking "how much oil/fat do you eat" "How often do you eat vegetables" "do you take vitamins" "how do you exercise") then get height, weight, and waist circumference. Girl taking my measurements finished then said "Huh - that's weird." Apparently, I've gained 7 kg in these past three months, despite having just dropped five last week (see aforementioned sickness) but my BMI, adjusted for waist circumference has changed by less than a third of a point. So it's been entirely lean. She's taken over two hundred measurements at my university in the last week, and no one else has had the same results. And I'm in the control group of the study, not the one that gets daily reminders about nutrition by email and text message.
Fuck yeah TL H&F thread; ruining your nutrition studies since 2008.
ROFL. Keep being awesome and ruining conventional logic with superior awesomeness!
It always does. I was getting worried for a short while that you had bailed on us for partying.

idk but nearing 65kg squat im suddenly rapidly increasingly aware of how important stretching beforehand is becoming. i have a growing feeling that flexibility is super important to form, i absolutely must spend time youtubing it before next session (4 days ago i tried my expert stretching and ended up falling on my ass and bashing the shit out of my toe on the side of the rack, it went black from bruising lol, expert stuff)

Don't take it badly. I don't think your athletic friends meant any insult when they said they weren't expecting it.
No, I just thought it was more funny than anything ^^

After I finish my schoolwork I will start routine pt 2 at neighbor's house. (they have the equipment, and they said I can use it for the next coulpe weeks )
I ought to take a picture of myself tbh. From what I've read I'll gain a lot of weight rapidly.

Remember to eat three times the amount you eat before, or you won't gain weight.

Three times? that seems high. I'm taking in a lot more though. because I'm eating more than normal + 1400 calories from milk lol.

Looking at the pictures/vids you've posted already, yes. Eat double to triple what you were eating previously; don't worry, your body will work through most of it, and that which is turned to fat you can burn off easily later.
As far as the more energy thing - Make sure you've got a good recovery routine to back up the lifting. When I'm sleeping and eating right, HELL YEAH I have more energy and feel more awesome because of lifting. When I'm not sleeping well though, I find myself almost crawling by the end of my off days, let alone my lifting days.

I'm trying to eateateateateat. But today I've been full (stuffed) like all day, and I shouldn't be too awful full when I lift >.>

Then you're doing it right... for now. Over time, your body will also adapt to be able to take in more calories without that "too full, sick" feeling. Just make sure to keep up with it =p.

I love fish, you definitely could have done worse.
I haven't been eating well these last two weeks; i was first incredibly busy and then got sick. only two meals a day, but still getting a good amount of protein. I've also continued to lift through it, and all of a sudden it's like "oh, another week of this and I have that six pack" - but that was never my goal, and its even less my goal now that i've discovered how EASY it is. I still need another 20 lean pounds before I should be worrying about this shit.
Do leangains and you could eat only two meals a day every day!
I have trouble eating more than ~800 calories +350 from milk in a single meal. Maintenance for me appears to be three meals where I eat this much. If I eat more of quality food, I feel sick and lethargic. I've basically been eating 1500 calories less than planned for two weeks straight. And its left me at six pack status with a minor headache. It's harder for me to add 10kg to my squat than it is to lose 10kg bodyweight.
I also do not do well at all training fasted. I do best if I eat a full meal ~ 1:30 before my workout, so leangains isn't for me.
Leangains has a few different options you can take, one of those being eating around noon/one, working out about an hour or hour and a half later, and then continuing to eat. It's still an 8 hour time frame though...
Anyways, AM weight was at 182.6... gained a pound over easter break. Timed refeed Leg Press :4 plates per side + 20 lbs. Bench: 160 x 5 160 x 3 135 x 10 --- No spotter :\ or I prob woulda at least got 5/5/4 on the bench. Hitting it up again friday Chin ups. BW +15 lbs x 5 x 3
I can somewhat tell this cut is starting to get to me. I've been feeling lethargic at the gym. Can't wait to get to 180, see where I am, and then possibly go down to 175.

I'm actually running on a schedule much like that almost purely by accident - except I eat my last meal usually around midnight, so it's an 11 hour feed 13 hour fast. Three meals in the 11 hours, with a few handfuls of almonds for snacks.
It blows my mind that Decaf just posted that video of him throwing almost twice my bodyweight over his head. Can't. Even.
Haha I feel ya man. I'm currently on leangains and really like it. The only thing that messes with it is my night class on Monday and Wednesday (6:30-745) and sometimes on the weekends if I want to drink.
Otherwise, I'll probably stay on it when I bulk again, but maybe a 12/12 or 10/14... Eh, who knows
