Brace your abs hard when you get the proper back arch. You're not using your core directly to move anything so much as you're using the muscles to keep everything stable. That's what they're there for.
Just because you don't feel soreness doesn't mean you aren't working. Don't use it as an indicator of progress, just keep doing your stretches and doing your squats and you'll get there.
Yea, I started a small complaint against the prevalent notations at ~page 100. The 2nd number in the multiplication means the number of times it is repeated; whereas the 1st number is the base.
It looks like your weight is going pretty far forward, as your knees are going past your toes. Does it feel like the weight is on the front of the feet? It should be evenly distributed across the entire sole.
Also, you're doing the reps very slowly. I think you can pick up the pace just a little bit.
I'm assuming he's doing them so slow to demonstrate form. You should do them at a normal pace. Other than that they're good (knees do appear to being going a little foward, be sure to sit back and keep weight on the heels.

How much faster?
And god no, that's not a video of me.
Should I also try to learn all of Bench Press Press Deadlift Power Clean now?

Or should I just start with squat?
Bench and DL are really easy to pick up, and there's not much to learn. I would definitely get started with bench, squat and DL.
Power cleans will take you a while to get used to, so I don't know... But it's obviously good to get started early. If you have time, go for it.

Listen to decaf, he probably knows best of all
Just realized it's more than likely i'll drink mon wed thurs fri sat of this week T_T Why can't grilled chicken do a better job of being a social lubricant and making me feel better about losing in playoffs T_T
You drink more in a week than I do in a month...
Anyways, I find that alcohol is only a good social lubricant to a certain extent. Since I'm a liquor guy, I have three levels: Sober, buzzed, and blacked out/completely wasted. I stick to buzzed when I wanna have a good time, and sometimes I go to level three just because. lol
We're gonna be on 200 pages soon. Damn, TLH&F is agrowin'
@froadacs post loool look how big that guys arms are i think the bar is too low down on his back rather than resting on the muscle, could push his elbows forwards a bit more, lean back just a tiny bit more, and do the squat faster (dont listen to me im a beginner too)
froadac, i too could barely bench the bar etc, and it is scarey and shitty, but on your 3rd proper session i garuntee everything will feel completely different.
1st session = just seeing whats what, try to do lots of reps of everything 2nd session = you might be aching so bad that you dont go back for 5-6 days. this is fine, just go as soon as you feel you're able to, theres no rush. on 2nd session you will kinda be warming up and figuring stuff out again like 1st session 3rd session = you will suddenly find yourself feeling quite at home with everything and really happy to be there , like the sun has suddenly come out from the clouds. 4th/5th session = you will laugh at how on your first session you struggled with such simple easy lightweight things like just the bar!
progression at the start is super fast like that
the one thing i will stress 1000x is that you must get into doing all the things in your intended program as soon as possible. so when you go definately TRY everything, otherwise youll be looking back at yourself saying "damn im a lazy idiot for not starting (deadlift) sooner, there was nothing to be afraid of and now its my fav exercise!"

btw there is nothing wrong with knees going past toes. If you want, widen your stance to shoulder width.

I'm not that buff guy.
Let me post a video of me doing it >.>
And what should I be eating?
I think a lot of the people in this thread are doing paleo (but a lot aren't), or a derivative of it. Which essentially means no rice, wheat or legumes (these are the biggest changes to adjust to at least), read more in the OP.
Since you are living at home, paleo is probably not going to be feasible. Just eat real food, the less pre-processed the better; and eat more, expect to eat about 2-3x more after you start doing SS. Whole milk is great for you, drink as much as you can, a gallon if possible, this is called GOMAD (gallon of milk a day).

We have skim milk. I imagine I'd need to get whole. Mom might have fit tt
Still haven't actually done shit to start exercising. i'm so confused >.>
im using skimmed milk atm since i found a muuuuch cheaper brand. i actually kinda prefer chugging skimmed milk, its more watery and easier to drink, whilst the calories arent too much of a difference. id just stick to skimmed milk if your spastic parents are going to find issue with it, theyll be concerned enough that youre drinking so much of it in the first place (i hope you get an allowance...)
you WILL have to calorie count and make sure that youre eating enough, because otherwise you will feel like shit and want to sleep all the time, and you will start to have shitty sessions at the gym after a while and wonder why you feel like passing out after doing 1 set and not making any progress ;p
just buy a quart of whole milk once every 4-6 hours, they aren't that expensive
yea, if your parents are going to have problems with you drinking whole milk, they'll definitely have problems with you drinking a gallon of skimmed milk, lol

No. lolol
Mom is always yelling at me too drink more milk I don't think she'll have issues with massive skim consumption, but the "fattening" whole milk she might have a problem with.
