Such a bad day today... It was the day where I was gonna squat 100kg, and I failed miserably. Did one set and had to use the safety bars already on the second set...
What do you guys usually do when you fail hard on one day... Do you try again the next day or go back to the last weight you actually lifted?
It feels so shitty when it happens!
try the same weight that you failed again in your next session. you should have a rest day though and use that time to eat like a truck and sleep well.
if you fail in the next session, do the same thing again.
if you fail a third time, you should reset your squat.
good luck!
@phyrre: try out some barbell rows if your knees let you do them
Decaf, is there much of a rugby league scene in the US? You should get into it if so -- much better than rugby! What position do you play in rugby (I'm guessing wing or outside centre)?
@Zafrumi - I already do Barbell Rows. As long as I'm careful not to let myself bounce, I can do them just fine most days, and I like them a lot better than doing dumbbell rows. My back always feels tired, but well-worked, and overall really great after doing them, whereas it just feels "tight" after doing dumbbell rows.

Rugby league is pretty much non existant here, i've never seen or heard anything about it being played in the USA. I'm an inside center usually (just switched to outside due to injuries where i probably should be playing)

I don't do curls because I don't have time to hit my biceps from all the angles every day, and I want them to grow symmetrically.
I guess I could just do regular curls and start taking my Cell Tech instead.
Leg day today. I haven't done squats in a long ass time since every time I do I get intense lower back pain. Stretched really well and decided I would give them a go. Managed to get 315 x8 which is lower than I was before I stopped squats a couple months back but I didn't feel any back pain so that's a plus. I guess for now I'll try to ease back into it and add on the weight slowly to try and keep my back pain free.
As for the pain in my lower back when doing squats I have no idea what the cause is. I thought it was my form at first but after looking at it on video it looks pretty spot on. I've tried high bar squats, low bar squats, not going so deep but still have pain. I don't have this pain when I deadlift or do any back exercises only squats. Ideas?

And I'm guessing you caused these injuries?
Also, everyone, I had a cheat day. It was planned (mostly), but here's what I ate:
Meal One: Bacon and eggs (gj me) Meal Two: Chicken and vegetables, tempura, and a small pancake (OK me) Meal 2.5: Sweet Starbucks drink (/facepalm) Meal Three: Pasta and a whole pizza (bad me) Meal Four: Four doughnuts on a whim (WTF ARE YOU DOING me)
The moral of the story? Eat your cheat meal late in the day, or you will spiral out of control and do stupid shit like I did.

I thought you were serious until the last line lol

looks like a typical no restrictions diet. it appears you've been somewhat deprived eh?
had a bad craving for donuts all day yesterday. then I went to the store, had a 10 minute staring contest with the donuts and bought a ton of strawberries and rasperries instead. hell yeah!

Well, I've gone for two and a half weeks with anywhere between 1,000 and 2,200 calories/day of pure meat and vegetables. I've easily lost a good 3-4% body fat, and my waist is down 3". I'm dropping pounds like a motherfucker here.
This cheat day WAS planned, although I admit that the doughnuts at the end were a bad idea. Shit man, right now I'm up at 10:22 pm and I want to hit the convenience store to pick up some fried chicken and maybe a couple of beef dumplings and a piece of chocolate.
Oh god I'm losing it guys. I better hit the sack before I get diabetes.
Oh man, now my knee is starting to hurt. I'm starting to think this might be a pinched nerve or something. Gonna go to the MD tommorow and skip my squats unfortunately. I'm hoping 4 full rest days will heal whatever ails me.

Nah, someone broke our outside centers shin with some shitty horsecollar tackle so i got bumped out to outside and we moved a flanker to inside. We have subs but they all suck dick so :-/
Neighbors brought over cookies a couple days ago...my dinner ended up being 9 chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk
