I was going to start doing deadlift, and stuff, and these girls where doing abductor stuff, they graved a weight like 30/40kg and open their legs, and go down and stuff, I was like. Imma do this too!. Did it, then hit that deadlift so ez. My friends were like, raul that is too much weight, take it easy, and I was like "No, I AM EL ASSO WIPO!". it was just 110kg on deadlift lol ;D | ||

squat- 205lbsx3x5 press- 100x3x5 powercleans- 95x5x3 This is the first weight on powercleans where I was feeling it... I like couldn't make my traps pull the weight, I guess I was concentrating too much on the hip thrust :O | ||

Today's workout was ok, worked up to a top single and after getting 90kg on the flat bench I was greedy and went for an all time-pr of 100kg. Got it off the chest but no further. Went for a 3x3 of 85kg and only failed the last rep of them. Found out my elbows and hands are like way off when I'm benching and couldn't at allt put them straight under the bar and then spent about half an hour of just techical work... Also worked up to a set of 120kg x 5 on the squat. Happy that I got it with my dead tired back and hams. So prolly a good idea to be a little fresher next time... | ||

About this time last year I decided to cut, went from around ~192lbs to ~179lbs this is at 6'2 and, well, I looked skinny as fuck, it was terrible. Since the end of last summer I've been bulking, badly mind you, just eating everything I can find, making sure I'm getting at least 200g of protein a day but other then that I just eat and eat. I'm now at ~208lbs and my lifts have gone up tremendously. Set 3 new PR's last week, 255lbs for 1 rep on bench, 405lbs rack pull for one, and (This is so sad) 235lbs squat for 1 rep. I have terrible flexibility in my hamstring and really just in my legs in generally which makes deadlifts incredibly difficult to do with good from, thats why I do rack pulls. Does anyone have good drills for hip/hamstring flexibility? Anything that would allow me to go deeper on squats, and hopefully alleviate the pain from deadlifts would be amazing. I feel like a sharp pain in my groin, only on one side though. I'm not sure if there anything I can really do about it though, I've had the pain there for about two years. I even tried to give the injury a ridiculous amount of time to recover, I didn't do anything squats or deadlifts for just under a year, and I still don't do deads. I did find this channel on youtube http://www.youtube.com/sanfranciscocrossfit the guy in the videos seems quite intelligent and I have been doing some of the mobility drills he suggests which are helping. My current goals are to keep bulking until the end of the month and to then start on a ~3 month cut until I take a trip to mexico or somewhere else thats nice and warm. I would get a PT to check out your pain though... I would suspect something possibly at the SI joint or something else if you've had pain for a couple years especially if you're pretty strong You can try some of the hip mobility stuff on that site and see if it helps though. | ||

According to http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html, 170 would be your 1RM, but I can typically do more than the site tells me I can do for my one rep max. Maybe you're the same. | ||
