I haven't been streaming my sealed events with yangers for a few reasons: a) haven't set everything up properly b) trying to focus on sealed practice for the GP this weekend and am not focused on entertaining people c) my son is still constantly waking up and I have to leave for large chunks of time
I assume you say "worst" because you put Bontu in it 'cause otherwise it looks pretty darn decent. I think that's actually what I would build instinctively, replacing Bontu and monument with Sidewinder Naga and Torment of Scarabs (for testing).
What did you end up with, U has no creatures and R super low on playables, so I mostly see trying BW zombies (using steadfast sentinels as poor man's zombies, tho in terms of playables you don't need them) and powering through with your removal and the lord and busted uncommon?
2nd pool I'm a bit miffed about missing out on the Manticore but UB has a great curve (and Grisly survivors isn't as bad in sealed). Splash R because Open Fire, Electrify and Struggle are greaaat and Claim // Fame on a Cunning Survivor + something to cycle is probably hilarious for late game reach. Or just to make people sad with Labyrinth Guardian. Plus you've got 0 CC spells in that pair so Survivors' Encampment should be enough to splash without straining the mana at all.
Disagree with UB's curve being good, none of the 4-drops are creatures and we have 1 5-drop creature. That's how it ended up being a cycling aggro deck because basically all the creatures are 2s and 3s and everything more expensive than that cycles for 1 mana (except Bolas).
Purely from a mana curve perspective, any of the builds involving R or G have better curves.
technically you have two labyrinth guardians that can act as 4-drops if they died kek
but just because there's no literal creature on curve doesn't mean the mana has to be wasted, play two cards, play a card + cycle etc. that's still a 'good curve'.
meanwhile r has no 1 and just one 2-drop (which is not a good curve btdubs), while g technically has creatures on curve but is underwhelming otherwise so in direct comparison it's still inferior to black (which has 1-2-3 and kinda stops there, but has multiple quality removal and the weakness of having only one high drop can be compensated for with the blue sneks anyway)
yea you have 7 decent or good creatures thats not a lot considering other than creatures green has exactly cartouche and thats it. that's what we call underwhelming in the business.
