I think the most noticeable "adult" change I've had since leaving college isn't the workday. Nor is it living alone, or paying bills, or even getting married.
No, it's the fact that now when I go to get an omelette I immediately go for the veggies instead of the triple meat lover with extra cheese.
Times change.

I have to make my own dentist and doctors appointments and I did my own taxes this year... of course i still mooched off the software my mom bought but I'm feeling pretty adult about it.

Yeah, buying a house is pretty much an investment in your future. It's not per se a thing to do as middle class, it's the thing to do if you're settling down. Because it's the safest investment you can make.

Yeah. Real estate almost always goes up. Has been universally a good path into prosperity in the western world to invest in your own housing. Except perhaps when your banks get too antsy and start giving unethical loans...
But you also always need a place to live. Hell my parents bought twice the house on one draftman's salary with 4 kids than I can afford now with an engineer & nurses salary and no kids.

I've put off opening my packs because of the client issues. It's no fun having the client constantly crash so you don't get to actually see your cards.

I only got dropped once. Also opened Hemet, who I'm not that interested in but might be cool in something ramp-y. Got a lot of dust though, and haven't even blasted out duplicate goldens.

I'm not sure if Eppa's remark is in response to killerdog, but the US took military action against the Syrian government in response to the use of sarin nerve gas on civilians (and rebels). Sent a bunch of missiles to take out the air base that allegedly launched the chemical attack.
