I miss the days when stupid, bad math would get eviscerated on the Elitist Jerks forums and dumb hearsay would thus be dispelled. There's a dumb spreadsheet someone made months ago which suggested that there were diminishing returns on your chances to get a legendary in WoW, the math for which was utterly wrong, but because the doofus making the spreadsheet hasn't backed down the misinformation continues to permeate the community. Moreover, the shifting of discussion from unified forums to things like discord has dramatically reduced the ability for players to seek out other people's theorycraft, review each other's work, etc. This is what happens when you destroy your theorycraft community, then decide 5 years later that you shouldn't have oversimplified the game. | ||
