The only races I participate in are the races to the bottom.

Similar experience.
Enjoyed it, but not amazing. Obviously followed the action movie formula, but that's what I expected. Worth seeing.

Rogue One is freaking awesome.

Don't care, I loved it.
+ Show Spoiler +Especially because they nailed Darth Vader. The level of hate and malice I willed toward Episode 3 for clearly not understanding what made Darth Vader awesome (hint: not dumb shit like this) was incalculable. It has plenty of flaws, but it's awesome. Also it doesn't have any dumb nonsense like the planet and suspension of disbelief-destroying scene from TFA.

The Vader scenes really were the best parts of the movie.

I liked Rogue One more than The Force Awakens at least.
+ Show Spoiler +Someone here said it was standard action movie fare but it wasn't the one man/team power fantasy those usually are in my experience. I thought it was very good.

The only thing that annoyed me was that none of the main characters were Bothan.
+ Show Spoiler +I'm pretty sure I saw The Ghost a couple times in the space battle. Once out the window when a Calamari is telling the other the deflector shields are at 50%.

Here's hoping that's enough to trigger Req to post 40k pictures.

I just have a tab always opened on it that I refresh from time to time.

+ Show Spoiler [star wars] +I thought the first half of the movie was fucking dumb angsty teenager who hates politics then somehow overthrows all the years of angst to start talking motivational speeches was somewhat weird/annoying. Also I dunno the whole first half was just conveniently dumb like "oh i can't tell them to stop they're already about to bomb the place" when they clearly had time to tell them to stop or at least stop mid bombing.
Second half of the movie was great apart from the fact that I hate how every movie in existence has to throw in some fucking forced love bull shit between a man and a woman. Felt so out of place. Really sad about monk guy/sidekick and pilot guy from four lions. Was attached to those characters more than the main ones tbh.
Also darth vader somehow can't do force moves through cracks in doors and picks the guy with the chip with all the data on it last to kill. Convenient.
I also dislike that ships can build force fields and giant death stars and warp through space but haven't learnt how to build auto targeting weapons instead of manual aim. But that's star wars I guess.
Liked it coa star wars but the plot just seemed like forced story.
Looking forward to fast and furious 8 the most.

Actually seemed more like closeness after being through adversity together than some young love deal. Thought it was pretty human and relatable.

+ Show Spoiler [StarWars] +There were apparently massive reshoots after production had close or something, and some of the teaser material released showed what looked like an x-wing saving jynn from the top of the tower?
I feel like initially they might have had them all be saved at the last second, (notice how they specifically didn't destroy/damage any of the bodies until the deathstar melted everyone, other than the one grenade scene that could have been redone in post) and then they confirmed there wouldn't be a sequel or whatever, and went ahead with reshoots killing everyone. Probably why the random significant looks and sexual tension stuff didn't end up leading to anything either.
