The Japanese kids play these cutesy little animu things with smiling cartoons and stuff. Then there's a 9 year old Korean girl who always wants to play Big Bang videos. And she doesn't understand why I won't let 9 year olds watch videos with Korean guys waving guns around and making out with girls in bikinis during school.

Trying not to spoil myself on the 'pro' Isaac streamers but there's a LOT of stuff I haven't seen yet. Definitely gonna stream that until I feel better enough to finish Owlboy. Then (as Asmo reminded me) I have Darkest Dungeon too and Afterbirth+ coming up....

So today I was driving around and just generally pondering my navel. I realized that I generally don't have much motivation to move forward in my life that is self driven. I've just been going through the motions for a good while now, only changing things when I had to. I have no desire to do anything, nothing I really look forward to doing in the future. I'm just here, thinking about how I've fucked everything up in the past.

I don't really know what to say about how to get out of it, don't know if I'm out of it yet myself. I think I'm moving slightly forward in life of my own volition after many years of being stagnant and what really started it was just any tiny little movement. You have to start small and gain momentum. Personally looking back I think Mordek/Red helping me out with gyming was the first small step upon a path I wanted myself that led to a new place. It's hard getting over the past. I know I'm not yet. Sitting 25 having been studying since 18 with nothing to my name. Completely fucking up what kind of future I had in mind years ago and now just barely managing to keep it together. Just don't think about it! . Really that's only way can manage. Get that small step, whatever step it is as long as it's something you desire for yourself and focus on doing that well. Once you get that in I think it'll be easier to slowly move in other areas and who knows maybe a life will start to spring up for you in the future. That's the hope at least. Just know that you aren't alone in your struggles. Many have been through what you feeling, many still are. Support is there.

This is very good advice IMO, I know how it feels and I'm not out of the woods yet. On a related note, you know that thing where they say it takes 30 days to make a habit? It's a lie. Depending on the habit it can take anywhere from 21 days to half a year. And habits are what make up 90% of your life anyways.
