EDIT: 3 10 minute interviews, very different. First one was random crap like name the 4 financial statements (only remembered 3, might have been 4 but I was wafflin' :/ ), asked to speak Spanish (dammit not when you talk that fast and I'm already nervous), sell me a pen (did OK maybe) and a couple other things. Second one was okay, third one I compared the pledging and rushing process to AIDS (they asked me to compare it to my research).

Things seem to be working in general, though my firefox for some reason places the tabs on top, just below File, Edit, Show etc instead of just above the viewing window. Also, when looking at the WC games on youtube, the video lags, and mouse speed in Diablo two is reduced. Haven't started league yet, probably need to reinstall I think. Start menu is a bit wonky, I'll try it out for a few days and decide later wether I like it. Edit: the youtube lag could just be that I'm downloading and installing Civ5 from steam.

i like the desktop environment's look more than i did win7, the stylistic choice to go with frosted borders instead of see through, and with sharper edges looks much better in win8. the major fault with the start screen is the lack of customization, I wouldn't mind using it more than desktop if I could change the background, replace icons, etc etc, easily. But I pretty much ignore the start screen with pokki.

My mind is full of biochemistry now. http://www.livestrong.com/article/231986-when-does-glucose-convert-to-fat/ Glucose is a six-carbon sugar molecule. Your body first converts this molecule into two three-carbon pyruvate molecules through the process of glycolysis and then into acetyl CoA. When your body requires immediate energy, acetyl CoA enters the Citric Acid Cycle creating energy molecules in the form of ATP. When glucose intake exceeds your body's energy needs--for example, you eat an ice-cream sundae and then go relax on the sofa for five hours--your body has no need to create more energy molecules. Therefore, acetyl CoA begins the process of fatty acid synthesis becoming triglycerides that are stored in the fat tissues of your body. These triglycerides are stored energy molecules which can be broken down later to give you the energy you need to, for example, get up off the couch and go for a bike ride. So I went way hard too this weekend and now feel like shit. Went to midnight Theros prerelease on Friday night, woke up early on Saturday for an all-day music festival, and then stayed up all night on Saturday to "finish" a book for a morning book club meeting 12 hours ago. My afternoon nap was like 40% of my entire sleeping this weekend. Tomorrow at work will suck so much. /blogpost

if they go unused it partially finishes the process for the next sugar to funnel in and then stores it as fat

I didn't go, but Imagine Dragons and Red Hot Chili Peppers were headlining there. EDIT: Closing in on 4K posts. Wonder if I'll hit that before or after my birthday (October 9). Speaking of which, the Dalai Lama is coming to my school/Atlanta on my birthday. Didn't get a ticket to see him on my birthday (stupid lottery, I'm (a) VP of the Asian Student Organization), but I'll probably get to schmooze with him the day after because I'm part of another club. Hopefully I can convince him to take a shot with me. Okay I know there's no way, but if I can get him to hold a shot glass in a pic with me I'll be happy.
