If your "open bar" is only like beer and wine then you can probably get it for much less than $50 a person, but if you actually want to give people real drinks it can easily run to 80-100. what csheep is saying, if you've got alcoholics in your family, it's gunna be pricy.

We sprung to get married at a really great venue, we could have saved a lot just doing a random banquet hall or something, but we both really like the place we picked.

The fabled pizza, and in-bulk liquor??? depends on the state: don't think the Costcos in Maryland can sell liquor, but you can find it in most states. Also, the gas there is generally 10-20c cheaper than elsewhere. And 1.50 hot dog+refillable drink. And is significantly better at labor relations/paying living wages/offering health insurance than other corporations like Walmart. where the hell do you live sung_moon.

At least we get some prevailing wage work, and that's just 40, never OT on those jobs since paying OT is hella expensive. I want to say there is a Costco in Wilkes barre, but I've never been to it...

I've never gone out of my way to look for it, as I usually just end up going to the Sam's Club that's like 10 minutes from my place when I need something in bulk. One day, I will have Costco Pizza.
