I believe you, but it sounded like you were playing the parent card.

Wave has a kid and a wife
If that doesn't count as keeping busy with a personal project I don't know what does

Life is hard. Internet is easy. Why have a life when you can have the internet?

So like, instead of a new car, you go out and buy a new bicycle. And then when your friends are like "that's really dumb you don't even bike" and you're like "but now I will, it's super tricked out and has all the bells and whistles, I can even go offroading with it!"
And then you ride it on the sidewalk like twice and then leave it in storage for the next few years, regretting those dollars that could have gone towards hookers and blow.

I had a quarter life crisis
So I bought a guitar

Learn the intro to Wonderwall and pick up gullible chicks at parties, then get called out for not knowing how to really play.
College life in a nutshell.

I always forget how old you are Req. Sometimes I think you're in high school and I get really confused, other times I think you're the world's laziest college student. On other occasions, I think you're a creepy 55 year old otaku. (I mean all of those with love of course )
I don't really party anymore, I just hang out with friends sometimes. I'm a junior now so I could probably get into most frat parties because I've made friends while I've been at school, but the only reason I'd go is to troll some pledges manning the door. They'd tell me that I'm not on the list and because I'm a skinny Asian guy with glasses to get lost, then I'd name drop a dozen brothers and make them poop themselves.

The obvious quarter life crisis toy for people like us is a new PC.

For some reason I thought about dropping like 2k for a trip to North Korea, seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'm just going to assume you mean South Korea.
Edit: I don't think getting to North Korea would only cost 2k. See Dennis Rodman.

I'm still in my quarterlife crisis, avoiding everything that has to do with getting on with my life and being a useless piece of shit.

I did that. I spent 1K to build a desktop because I felt like it.

Mine was 1.5. I also got an iPad.
I'm not sure if this is a crisis so much as a permanent state of being.

Mine was 40k, except no regrets associated.
Do it!
