In terms of Hearthstone and MtGO, I cannot see Hearthstone in its current state becoming as competitive as MtG has been because the very set up of the game (3 card hands, deck limitations, etc.) means that you have incredibly high variance games. The lack of consistency means that you are far more RNG dependant than, say, MtG because in MtG you can construct your decks to be RNG resistant. I would find it as interesting as watching a Protoss only tournament. That being said, as more cards are introduced into the card pool there is potential. Wizards really bungled with MODO. It may have made them a lot of money no doubt, but splitting money across paper and online is just so hard on budgets. Still catching up with the TL OT shitposting thread but this sums up the issues I have with Hearthstone atm. It's fun in short bursts but feels so RNG-y (and going first sucks balls)---I just don't feel the same depth as Magic. | ||
