You come off as incredibly bitter for whatever reason.
We get it, you don't like Dota or its pinnacle event.

Hello friends. Tonight is painting night. Tomorrow is (hopefully) killing Orks night. It's going to be a good couple of days.

It's like witnessing the lol hate from the opposite side. Feels weird.
In other news, I don't have to worry about competing with any large tournaments so when I get home I'm gonna stream weird crystal shit Dark souls area later! Yay!

Oh man speaking of video games I've finally gotten around to playing A Link Between Worlds. It's basically ALTTP but different enough that exploring feels fun. I kind of hate the item rental system, though. Otherwise, great game.

I also didn't realize how much of the game was completely ripped off of link to the past (because it was ages since I played it) until I watched some of the SGDQ speed runs. I mean it's not a bad thing per se, LBW was an awesome game, but considering the creativity that went into it they could have tried a little harder on the enemy/boss front for one.

Wave why are you ignoring poor Seath

I remember you with longer hair too, Soniv. Facecam does stuff.
And yeah Wave, I can totally figure you playing that way. I mean, Isaac works exactly the same, right? Just get items then don't die. You've got tons of practice on that front.

What you are misattributing is my dislike of the double elimination format in general.

Yeah, they really doubled down on the nostalgia factor by making it pretty much identical. Really they should have just called it a 3D version of the original like they did with OoT.

First of all, As ironic as as this sounds (proper use of the term, I believe, JEFF) you can't compare Isaac difficulty to Zelda difficulty. The mechanics and items and enemies are different enough that not dying in Zelda is A great deal easier. There's also no exploration or easy ways to heal up in Isaac (potions, etc)
Second, I didn't die particularly often in Isaac when I streamed; I was trying not to get hit. When I did die, it was often because I tried to move on with a set of items not equipped to meet the increased difficulty of the later levels, as I only took items that would help me not take a point of damage, not to survive in the long run.

I'd actually hazard a guess that the entire thing was a giant experiment on openworlding for Zelda Wii U.

You must fucking hate Evo though, all those double elim tournaments that end in absolutely no hype at all...
Single elim would've been even worse if we started at the same top4 point, because that NB/EG bo3 was a fucking destruction. NB at least had to make plays to cause VG to fall over.
