VG looked really damn good leading up to the finals. They played like absolute trash in the grand finals though. I mean, ffs, VG literally picked the same comp three times in a row, played the same boneheaded way three times in a row, and got absolutely shitstomped all three times. | ||

TI3 finals were awful too. 4 one sided games with only the final game being interesting. It's just 2 teams people loved were playing and that final moment seem to make up for the rest of the series being terrible. TI1 finals were also pretty bad, the best finals may have been iG vs Navi where we got to see the teams try figure out how to beat Naga with varying degrees of success. Anyway TI just doesn't produce good finals. | ||

And the final game was probably the most intense game in Dota 2 history, especially given the context. Not to mention that the entire grand finals had a pretty significant/deep strategical backdrop with Na'vi finally figuring out how to draft against Alliance (and were arguably the only team that figured out how), who were almost undefeated and looked incredibly dominating up to that point. | ||
