-Can only catch the first Pokemon in each area you go to. If you fuck up, too bad. -When it faints, it dies. Then I think I'm gonna add one more: -Cannot go beyond your 6 Pokemon party limit. No boxed Pokemon. | ||

-The capture thing doesn't take effect until after you get Pokeballs, so don't worry about the first few fights -Generally fainting during your first Rival battle doesn't count because of how RNG it can be. -Generally, if you need to use an HM like Surf but you don't have a pokemon who can learn it, you can catch an HM Slave There are other rules some people use -Random starter (roll dice or look at trainer card) -Set Mode only -Allowed to catch shinies outside of the rules because, well, Shinies -No duplicate catches, so you don't end up with a starter and 3 Pidgeys -You have to use your starter against your Rival's starter -Mercy Rule: Gyms are checkpoints and you can start from there if you fail (difficult if you're not emulating) -No held items -Pokeballs only (no Great/Ultra/etc) -No Legendaries -No Trades Even more challenging rules, if you feel masochistic -Once you enter a gym, you cannot go back to the center until you beat the leader or lose -One of [No healing items] OR [No Pokemon Centers] OR [Items but each Center only once] -You can only have the same number of pokemon in your party as your Rival/the Gym Leader you're facing -No Fleeing from any battle I'll likely only be using the base rules and shiny/no dupes rules, but you can make it harder/easier if you want. | ||

I just meant - no extending your party beyond what you're capable of carrying. edit: oh nvm, I now understand Idk how hard I'll make my run since it's my first Nuzlocke. When I start, I'll post what I decided (since I'll be doing an informal storytime with it anyway) | ||
