The one game I played was really fun. It's a fast version of Conquest - there's still lanes and objectives, but since there's only 2 very short lanes and siege minions push hard, it ran really quick. It's like, if you want a short match but don't want to keep the regular gameplay instead of switching to Arena or Assault, it's nifty.

I haven't yet, but I'd like to. I watched a few streamed games of it when it was on PTS. Might try my hand at it tonight depending on whether or not I want to play ranked.

Also, the DnD wiki is a pretty good place to find answers to your questions. I think what Requizen posted is more in-depth (I haven't actually looked at it so I wouldn't know) but hopefully what I post can help you out a little bit. D20SRD (the site I linked) should have everything in the PHB and most of the stuff in the DMG. It's got Psionics and Unearthed Arcana. Any other splatbooks you'll need to find elsewhere. Basically everything in the PHB and DMG that is not "content" and is just "rules" are included. There's none of the instructional stuff in the PHB on how to actually create a character, none of the lore fluff, none of the "here's how you should DM a game" stuff in the DMG, etc.
Also, IMO the best 3.5E supplements (i.e. actually have useful things and don't break the game more than it already is) in order of most to least useful: PHB2, Tome of Battle, Expanded Psionics, Magic Item Compendium

However, a lot of that stuff becomes second nature after a while, so I tend not to use the books a lot, but I guess for new players it's good to have.
Edit to your edit: Tome of Battle is one of my favored side books. There's also a lot of homebrewed disciplines if you don't like the ones that are in the book, either.

The real issue is I don't think I'm for DMing and in that case no one else with little to no experience would be either... Guess it just sells better than Greyhawk. They fucking ruined it in 4.0 too.
Anyway, if this ever gets off the ground, I'm in. I'd prefer Pathfinder, but 3.5 works too.

Rotating pictures too hard.

Honestly once you realize it after the imgur copy and pasting fuss etc I deemed it not worthy They're correctly rotated for viewing on my phone

korean level picture rotations
and if dnd happens and at a (un)reasonable time I'd like to join too :3 Can normally play until like 4 am.

Now that things have calmed down somewhat and I don't have any homework/assignments anymore, I'd go in on some sort of DnD business if it ever happens and anyone would have me. I've never played before.

Would need a pretty patient/experienced player/DM though

Not necessarily. I'm a brand new DM, and all my friends are completely new to the game. We're kinda just figuring it out as we go.
Although, if mordek were to be the DM, I would definitely suggest keeping it to only ~4 players.

This was all theoretical! Plus why wouldn't Req do it :3 And let's be real I don't have time for a real campaign, you have to like do it regularly

Basically from my experiences of DnD, a 4 person group is ideal. 5 is manageable, but anymore than that and it's too much. Also everytime I've played DnD, the dungeon masters have been very new (As in they've never DM'd before, but one of them has played DnD quite a bit before hand) and it's still been a hoot for me.
Of course that being said, I understand that being a (good) DM requires a lot of work, so keep that in mind.

I'm busy as fuck nowadays. I still need to update our Pokemon group to PTU and plan the next session.

DnD is hardcore mode, except you actually lose a piece of your soul when your character dies. You might be too yolo for DnD =P

Yo req and carlson, are either of you guys familiar with the big names of smite because I read this from Richard Lewis' AMA on /r/starcraft and wondered if either of you guys could expand upon it
the Smite community loving, then deciding on reflection they were better off hating, me following me exposing one of their more notorious players for being a serial liar and fantasist. He famously threatened to slash my tires.
