tl;dr hater gun' hate
also i think its not hard to see why people would find kpop creepy, since a large amount of the fandom is basically based around people fantasizing about real people, often with a sexual aspect
i dont care much either way, i dont personally care for kpop, but it's pretty easy to see why people find it pretty weird in general, and you going to great lengths to explain it really doesnt do much to alter conceptions I find that somewhat depressing. I mean, I took an argumentative writing course in college simply because I like this sort of thing, explaining viewpoints and discussing difference in opinions with people, but of course that assumes that people are willing to listen to all sides of the argument and expand their horizons. Hell, I'll try anything once. I used to indiscriminately hate on shit I didn't understand and fell outside my norms, but I find I'm much happier since allowing myself to realize that some things may have more than just their surface shows. I used to think the idea of RPGs like D&D was creepy and everyone associated was the type of powergamer neckbeard you see in webcomics, but now I look forward to playing them (except when I get powergamer neckbeard "that guy" like is in my Sandstorm game).
hey i'm a neckbeard powergamer don't be hatin'

Therefore scip is a godly baby maker. QED, bro. scip is holy ovarian wat?

But the point of each story was that it never focused on anyone's disability other than perhaps Hanako's crippling social anxiety, which is tangentially related to her burns. The stories are about rather normal issues that people have in relationships and how who we are on the outside doesn't change that. It's not even about "being beautiful on the inside", it's about how people are people and how you deal with normal issues like trust, boundaries, and interdependence. No, I as a matter of fact I didn't miss that point, because the game advertised this so called "message" so crudely they might as well have called the game "handicapped people are people too!". There are really no redeeming factors to the writing of this game, it's just forced dialogue with shallow characters in settings and situations that have been done to death many times over.
Edit: MLP is damn good television.

(Or actually, I liked both. AKB is pretty boring now. Their sister group NMB from Osaka, on the other hand...)

There are really no redeeming factors to the writing of this game, it's just forced dialogue with shallow characters in settings and situations that have been done to death many times over. No redeeming factors? Done to death? That's the most hyperbolic shit I've ever seen in my life. I read a lot. I used to get in trouble in English class for finishing the curriculum in the first two months. I chewed through Tolkein's extended lore when I was in grade school. I picked up Dante, Sun Tzu, and the Quran because I was bored. I've watched romance animes, read fantasy and fiction, read manga you've never even heard of.
So when I say that, as an avid reader, the story didn't feel trite or rehashed, the dialogue for 90% of the game felt fluid, and the characters had more depth than nearly every novel I've read written past the year 1995, I can't imagine a scenario in which you could prove otherwise.
I'm beginning to doubt you even played it in the first place.
-You compare it to a harem anime, saying, and I quote, "Hey guys, let's take the same 6 archetypes that exist in every fucking harem anime, ever, and put them in a dating sim". However, the game never takes the form of a harem at any point, and in fact punishes you for waffling between girls. Also, the standard harem females are tsundere main (doesn't exist), shrinking violet that secretly loves the MC (arguably Hanako, but she doesn't share many traits), forward girl who pushes onto the MC but doesn't really have feelings for him (doesn't exist), and girl that isn't interested outwardly but at the end says she wants to marry him anyway (the only thing close enough is Rin, but that doesn't fit her arc at all)
-You attack the game by insulting the people who poured their time into developing it over 5 years. Not only is that childish and crude, it's also an ad-hominem attack that does nothing but make you look like an ass.
-You use the term "Visual Novel" as if it's an insult. That's what it is. There was never any smoke and mirrors or fabrication about it being action packed or anything. It's a visual novel, a story written to illustrate romance and the interaction between people that are in their formative years and are dealing with pain both physical and emotional.
-At no point does it ever try to force "handicapped people are people too!" on the reader. If that's how you're interpreting it, then I guess you're just trying to find flaws. Hisao thinks like that during act 1, but the points where disabilities are even mentioned in any route past that are few and far between. In fact, Hisao's disability is the one most talked about because he's such a bitch about it at times, the game almost never focuses on the girls' differences once you get into a route. I don't even they mention Rin's arms except when Hisao is feeding her oranges.
It just sounds like you really want to insult this thing for one reason or another. You're just leveling broad (and somewhat incorrect) criticisms without talking about anything in particular.
Edit: As I see, you're an MLP fan. I often see the two fangroups bickering due to some kind of stupid 4chan rivalry. I'll be very disappointed if that's the root cause of this.

Soniv did you do a lot of bodyweight excersizes when you were a gymnast? I'm at 155 lbs 5'10 and I can't help but feel fat (l know I'm not, but since I have very little muscle mass it feels like that). I have no time for the gym during the school week, which fucking sucks since I had the time of my life working out over the summer. I figure I might just start bodyweight excersizes at home, even though the progress is probably much slower than lifting.
edit: Exercise is the one word I will always misspell and I ain't even mad.
