nah there's nothing wrong with defending your interests but usually i feel like if you have to get so defensive about it you should reevaluate your mindset when approaching your hobby, or more specifically criticism to it
tl;dr hater gun' hate
also i think its not hard to see why people would find kpop creepy, since a large amount of the fandom is basically based around people fantasizing about real people, often with a sexual aspect
i dont care much either way, i dont personally care for kpop, but it's pretty easy to see why people find it pretty weird in general, and you going to great lengths to explain it really doesnt do much to alter conceptions

I don't think hobbies are weird, I think individual people are weird.
So I'm not really defensive about mine. Then again, I was an apologist AKB48 fan, lol.

I mean, I took an argumentative writing course in college simply because I like this sort of thing, explaining viewpoints and discussing difference in opinions with people, but of course that assumes that people are willing to listen to all sides of the argument and expand their horizons.
Hell, I'll try anything once. I used to indiscriminately hate on shit I didn't understand and fell outside my norms, but I find I'm much happier since allowing myself to realize that some things may have more than just their surface shows. I used to think the idea of RPGs like D&D was creepy and everyone associated was the type of powergamer neckbeard you see in webcomics, but now I look forward to playing them (except when I get powergamer neckbeard "that guy" like is in my Sandstorm game).

I have to do it about video games and eSports all the time, so I don't understand why 'being defensive' is a bad thing when it's about something you like.
It's like calling someone a 'tryhard.' ^ I too have, and still do, get defensive when my hobbies/interests get heavily criticized. You think growing up being a male gymnast was easy? Just out of curiosity; when did you start, for how long did you continue training, and how tall are you? I've never met someone who did gymnastics for more than 5-7 years break 5"5/164cm.
Started when I was 3, continued all the way through and captained my college team (Springfield College - MA) my last year of college. I'm 5'11", was 155 pounds at my physical peak. My physique was never well suited for the sport, but I made the most of my lankiness. I've since lost 5 pounds because I'm not working out anymore/I eat way less because I burn less carbs.
The sport takes a ridiculous toll on your body. My L4/L5 vertebrae are compressed, I have wrist tendinitis, occasionally still get forearm splints (similar to shin splints, but from so much weight bearing on my hands). Since my season ended in April, every part of my body is just continually tightening up because I was used to stretching every day for many many years.
I'm not sure if I've ever shared the promotional video I made for my team last year. Please excuse the alternating horizontal/vertical video, I was working with the recordings I was given:
+ Show Spoiler +You can see me on pommel horse - I have the bright orange comp pants on. I'm also on floor at 1:38 doing the front 1.75 flip.

is 155 pounds at 5'11 normal weight?

I think it's slightly underweight (especially now that I'm 150). I'm pretty scrawny and lanky lol. My wingspan is 6'4.5".
Made for an interesting dynamic when I was doing Ju Jitsu. People in the 150 weight class are generally pretty short and built, but my limbs would just reach everywhere.

Huh I always thought I was super heavy with 170 pounds at 6'2, apparently not.

Naw dawg. I'm like 180 at 5' 7.5" and even I don't "look" overweight. yer gewd.
|
Uh, I'm 185 pounds at 6'0. 150 at 5'11 is pretty tiny. :>
I'm probably at the upper edge of a healthy weight though.

Muscle weight vs fatass weight is fairly important. That said 5'11" 150 sounds borderline anorexic tbh, certainly very skinny.
|
Lol well I can assure you I'm not anorexic. I still eat a shit ton. I've just always been very skinny.

I was joking about Justin Bieber's Candy Crush abilities (or half-joking). I just think he's grown into a pretty lousy person.
I'm like 5'9/10 and weight like 135-140, which is on the lower end of a healthy BMI, and last time I checked w/ calipers I had like 6-7% body fat (yay, I'm all muscle).
Stress is supposed to make you fat, but its not really working for me. Woke up at 7 to drive an hour to downtown ATL to take a test for an internship (the first test was the Wonderlic, which is used for football players so it was pretty easy). IM SO TIRED, GOT BACK HOME AND WAS GOING TO BED BUT READ TL INSTEAD.

Those cortisol levels will catch up to you
If I could get to 190lb at 6'1" I'm guessing I'll be super happy with my physique. 170ish atm.

have you considered that the fact that you have to feel defensive about it might be indicative of something? man, fu Cheep. I hate when shitters like you who constantly make over-the-top, hyperbolic statements about pretty much everything nowadays. Then when a person decides to stand up for their opinions and personal likes, you called him "defensive as fuck" and try to insinuate they have a further underlying problem?
What is wrong with you?

More pressing question: why is your epithet of choice "holy semen"?
Edit: Weirdly, that line was cut out of a L&O:SVU episode themed around the Adam West Batman show.

Therefore scip is a godly baby maker. QED, bro.
