GetApples here from last night:
Just wanted to say as a first timer that I thought the IH were pretty great at providing a consistent skill floor to provide a basis from which to improve my own skills on (as opposed to usual soloq randomness).
As mentioned, team balance was an issue at times but was fixed later into the night.
It would also be really cool if we could get even two high diamond (should I even hold out hope for challenger?! :O) players to play a game or two at some point - the one game I laned versus the diamond 1 vayne was one of the first really educational games i've had in months.
An idea I had was that the starting IH games would be people mostly playing to learn, but as the night progresses/final game of the night declared, we'd have a pretty serious game of people playing their best roles/champs in a competitive fashion.
Oh and sorry for being quiet for the most part, I tend to be a pretty quiet gamer in general with the exception of muttering expletives when i miss a cs

Tbh, I think the reason we didn't discuss much after game was because once it was filled with mostly more serious players, we'd recognize the mistake after committing it so we'd mostly be discussing the game plan during game.

I'd be happy if there were no targeted bans.

why not do Faker style solo q bans (he bans champs that aren't popular in solo q because he likes practicing against op champs to get better)

In my experience you target ban in inhouses to 1) force people into playing something else and actually learn 2) to nerf players who can carry 1v5 on their mains.

Well I disagree on a couple points (best roles etc), I do agree that the games where the IHs were relatively balanced provided the best learning experience, and overall a more enjoyable experience than the onesided stomps that were occurring earlier in the game.
Also I'm sure scip will play in the next IH so you'll have your challenger, but he's a cancer Euro so he doesn't count. The best NA regulars that have shown up to IHs previously (back when IHs were a regular occurance months ago), were Dusty and 5HITCOMBO. Neither of whom I've seen around often (though Dusty did play in an IH recently). Also this D1 smurf guy. TL has a much larger selection of high-ranking cancer Euros, unfortunately.
@ Roffles: I think I'll be taking up the reigns for IH creation/balancing for future IHs, if that's alright with you. I've got a general grasp of how most of the regulars' skill levels are etc.
@ Zydra: target bans will always be a thing. If you don't want to get target banned, say so but they will never NOT be a thing.

TBh I thought Roffles balance is fine. You don't need the game to be hyper balanced anyway and the game where I was roflcopterstomped by aura was Ori, Daft Monk and I were lagging like crazy mid game or the game could've been a bit closer.

Hey guys, just popping in to say Inhouses were fun the other night.
Damn shame Kiss and Daft were lagging in that one game though.
Agree that some people need to grow up and deal with playing with people they don't particularly feel like playing with. I'm not going to name names, but there was a player I quickly muted on TS because I knew I wasn't going to enjoy their company on my team. No complaining, no calling them out and telling them to stfu, just a quick mute and the game was happy time. You should do the same, it's better and easier than team-jumping to avoid them.
