Actually guitar, I can confirm that your placement games are actually +/- 45 elo, and the bonus goes beyond the first 10 games. I've played 15 ranked games this season and I'm still getting the +/- 45 per win (or at least my last game I did).
Eventually it does start to taper off, but it's not right at 10 games, or at least not for everyone necessarily.

This fucking asshole of a fuckign tryn and shaco queue up and *demand* bottom lane. This *is* normals so the meta isn't held so strictly. Shaco goes AP and (it turns out) Tryn is only going PD and Speed Boots. Shaco didn't do much for our team, but Tryn just fucked us. I'm mid Annie and I'm going to get our blue. It turns out WW is there and Tryn comes up and gets the kill. Great. He begins to leave, then comes back and snatches the blue. I ask him why he think Tryn needs blue more than Annie, he just says "sorry". Then, to make it better, as he has no health and ult, he goes back to lane and died *immediately*, giving their team the blue.
Then after a quickly tango in the river, NO one is killed, though we're all kinda low. Their Karthus begins to ult while Tryn STILL HAS HIS ULT. Result? He doesn't fucking use it. Dead. This happens *twice*.
Then Tryn chases an ulting Yi across the entire fucking map after I spammed ping-back on him like a mother fucker. Didn't listen and dies to a surprise Singed.
And another shitty thing was I told Shaco "AP Shaco is bad. Go AD." He says "yes it's shitty." and I say "uhh so sell your items and get AD"....doesn't acknowledge it. Just goes AP after we have 2 APs already.
They both go something like 5-11
To the Shaco and Tryn. All I have to say is fuck off. Even though it was normals, you still ruined a game and wasted everyones time.

What's iCanada's summoner name? Season 1 carryover elo must be a factor but as guitar said, except for extreme cases it's +/- 100. (For example, I was 1400 last season, I started season 2 with 1265 or 7. Something like that. 9 wins 6 losses at 45 each puts me exactly where I am right now, 1400 ish.)
Something is up and if his stats (12-13 and top elo 1567) don't lie then WHAT COULD BE HAPPENING?

Can't seem to get a half decent team today. Didn't win a single game. 12/5/7 nocturne? Nope, just because you can dive a carry and nuke them in 2 seconds and still be last one standing in a fight doesn't mean anything. Then the one game I think I have an easy matchup, top DC's and jungler is stuck up there, while their's is free to constantly pressure my lane, in addition to taking all the jungle. Thankfully I didn't play ranked after 2 losses....would've been depressing to lose 4 more.

When you get a string of losses where you win your lane, gank other lanes, go something like 10/1/5 and still lose to people who know shit all about the game and are building random shit, just because ur team is far more retarded, is demoralizing. Seriously how hard is it for people to use their brain? I have no doubts that there are reasonable intelligent people irl. What happens to them when they go in the game? nothing makes me hate humanity harder than they people is find in this game.

This would be a yes, grinding losses and tilt gets to me. Before this i have never really queue dodged ever... I guess maybe I should just stop caring about the ELO number and just try to improve.
Was frustrated, especially while on a 12 game losing streak, why play a game where top is your nasus vs their Riven, mid is your Amumu vs their Kassadin, and bot is your Yi and Evelynne vs their Graves Sona? Barring incredible missplays all three lanes countered pretty hard.

How many times does someone need to be reported till they get banned for good? I'm guessing the tribunal will review some cases but that there is a large backlog of cases. So assuming that one person gets reported and reviewed ten times out of say 50 games, they might get banned for 2 days. Then they can grief for say 50 more games and they'll have a 10 day ban. After that they can grief for 50 more games, and they'll get banned for good. They lose a level 30 account and will have to make a new one if they want to play in ranked, but 150 is a lot of games. Most people only really grief when they're losing too, they don't complain as much when they're winning, so can anyone play 300 games and be a dick in all of them before finally being banned.

Queue dodges lower your elo, which is why your elo is lower than what your win/loss ratio should make it.

Do not all reports go through to the tribunal? Because I see horrible mannered people on streams like this Wukong on Rainman's a few hours ago that kept saying things like "ban my whole team" "trash team" and the like. Sivir called Rainman's sion trash and claimed to have fed on purpose 0-5 because she knew sion would be trash when he gave first blood and that there was no point to trying. Of the five members on Rainman's team the only one that was well mannered was the rammus. At one point in the game they had lost two inhibitors and one nexus turret. Rammus said "we can still win" and soraka started mocking him in all chat.
Rainman's team won that game. Tribunal is useless if it doesn't ban people.
Honestly, I felt bad for the rammus.

Gets fucked by 4 of enemy team showing up, we can't contest. Brand gets Shyv's Blue, so I'm fucked in mid until I get mine. Shyv then proceeds to take next 2 blues.
Meanwhile top lane getting fucked by a Lee Sin who builds BT, bottom lane takes their tower early and actually wins their lane, and then stays there and farms all game while everyone else proceeds to feed Brand/Leesin harder.
When we surrender at 22 min or so, bot lane goes 'Yay we won our lane!' as though his job and commitment to the team ended there.
My mistake for thinking I can ever play anyone who doesn't absolutely shit on their lane no contest so I can feed on my opponent and try to end it early by raping all the other lanes after...Panth only from now on I guess?
