Btw, assuming Maru gets out in second, we have either Maru/Serral, Maru/Dark, or Maru/Cure for Ro8 which is pretty sick

And with a Ro8 opponent in either classic/ragnarok/showtime, there's a pretty good chance he's getting ro4 Btw, assuming Maru gets out in second, we have either Maru/Serral, Maru/Dark, or Maru/Cure for Ro8 which is pretty sick tbf i wouldnt get overeager on a 10 range colossus bug "patch".

It wasn't just that match but also losing to Gumiho in GSL, not looking great vs Solar (he won 2-0 but took some extremely bad baneling hits in several fights), struggling with Lambo significantly after also losing to him 2-0 in a weekly cup a while back, and now his 3rd loss vs Maxpax in a row. Just not an inspiring string of results from him.

Clem has great mechanics and is young so I still think he might have a real breakthrough one day, but as time goes on I become more skeptical. He’s obviously a talent but his whole TvZ style that gives him wins versus Serral/Reynor is going balls to the wall with aggression and being faster and cleaner than his opponent Which he can do in TvZ, a very trade-oriented matchup. TvP less so and TvT probably even less so again. I’m sure he’ll figure it out eventually but he really hasn’t progressed in a while beyond stellar TvZ, good but not great TvP and pretty ropey TvT

Even if he does lose he’s usually bringing pretty impressive games

Seems fine to me tbh. It wasnt completely random btw, first place finishers play second place, and ppl from the same group cant play each other. Also tbh, you can put Serral on any side of the bracket he would be favored against most people anyway. That being said the chances of getting at least 1 toss in the finals are pretty slim with this bracket for sure. Hopefully Maxpax can bring some of that Maru-slaying magic vs Serral in the semis.

Save the "I told you so"s for if MaxPax or ShowTime actually make a run tomorrow.
