At one point the resources lost tab was shown and it was 3500 for Cure vs 6.5k for Serral and yet Serral was still ahead in every way. Bases, army and worker supply, tech. Seems like he's just unbeatable ZvT. Odd that the other top Zergs only seem 50-50 in it. Yea I feel the same way, I wanna scream OP but then I watch any other Zerg besides Serral play against Cure and it seems like a perfectly balanced MU. Kind of like watching Maru play TvZ, he makes Terran look so damn imbalanced in the match up. Serral and Maru and such really are just special cream of the crop players, hardly ever making a mistake.

This current run is the most impressive Serral's ever been imo and is the first time the things his fans like to say about him has actually been true. Everytime someone points out how much Zerg has won since 2018 it's inevitable that a Serral fan corrects Zerg to Serral*. Despite Zerg still winning the most even without his wins counted and that the large majority of Serral's wins being at times where Zerg was doing extremely well. A zerg 100% still would have won Blizzcon 18, IEM 22 and many of Serral's other wins with or without him around. At this moment though it does seem like Zerg performance in ZvT would take a nosedive without him around. Ragnarok would have gotten bopped here and Dark already lost today. Of course this may just be because Rogue retired. Who knows how this year would be going with him around.

Yeah, Serral's present level of play is ridiculous even by his own standards. Systematic and meticulous, and sometimes virtually flawless. You could see the frustration in Cure's face. None of the other current top-tier zergs, neither Dark nor Reynor, can make Cure look like he's running against a wall.

Yeah, it looked so effortless to Serral, that it seemed that he was "cheating" somehow. Even at the end when he won, he just smiled and was so relaxed. Prolly didnt have to bring even near 100% today. And that is really scary. He makes many other pros look like a ladder scrubs in comparison.

Guy just doesn’t really have any weaknesses seemingly, a pretty scary prospect right now indeed. His ZvT looks off the charts and isn’t even his most dominant matchup GGWP and a pretty fun wee tournament, stream issues aside! Really interested to see if Cure brings this level when Code S resumes

Beating all 3 races in the quarter-semi-final always feels good. Well he delivered beating Classic and Dark, I did not expect him to beat Serral, even less so cross server Congrats Serral, on top of the world atm

Fairly so and way the bracket worked out think you saw the two best performers this particular tourney meet in the grand finals Outside of Mary playing his absolute best I mean who’s taking Serral out TvZ when he’s playing like he did in the finals? Cure’s looking really good lately for sure and he’s got a lot of different stuff in his locker too, compared to say Byun who can give stellar TvZ clinics but if his relentless aggression fails he can run out of steam

I'd still throw a cheeky bet on GuMiho like aye. he has upset Serral numerous times before in bo3s. sometimes he goes super saiyan with the drops and parade pushes. same with Cure and and ByuN. playing at their best, I think they can bring it to him in a bo3. vs terran, Serral seems to be at his weakest in the first 2 sets of a series, and then tightens up the longer the series goes on you can expect all these top terrans to burn bright against zerg for 2 or 3 sets, then exhaustion sets in and it becomes impossible

Bo3s yeah they can pull it off but that drops off with Bo5s, 7s etc. Much less daunting to prep one sneaky fast one, play out of your skin one other game and the beast is slain than pulling it off 4 times Actually was Aligulacing and Gumigod does have a better record than many against Serral, perhaps he’s the man to do it
