Rare you see a proper single elim gauntlet these days, I wonder if they might go with something like that, or a straight double elim to differentiate the tournament? There’s pluses and minuses to both. Groups into single or even double elim generally keep the top dogs from getting sniped and generally deliver the big big matchups in the latter stages. But ‘one mistake and you’re out’ does aid itself to upsets and make the early stages more exciting A lot of things I’m curious about with it really, will it be considered IEM/Blizzcon levels of prestige or WESG (at least for the Western audience)? | ||
