It would be a great run for TIME no matter winning or losing. I also like Reynor's chances a lot more as the last foreigner still in the field.

Or maybe it's just about lunchtime in EU. Serral won his world championships while looking dominant in ZvZ, I didn't have high hopes for him after watching the groupstage. I was rooting for Reynor and herO this time, anyway.

I thought it was the other way around where Serral said he couldn't get anyone to practice with him cause he was the only one in the ZvZ hell group

Serral not even attempting to retreat indicated he wasn't aware just how much he had in production. There is almost zero chance he doesn't survive that engagement if he does that. I see him shaking his head at 2:51:14 in the vod. He has 42 army supply of which 26 are not on the field, 6 queens and his last couple of roaches are surrounded. He has nothing to retreat with.

At the time Serral left he was maybe down 4-5 Roaches which can be easily stalled with a drone pull and he had 12 Roaches in production while Ragnarok was only reinforcing lings. I stand by it, the game was over in Serral's favor

They can't offer the same amount of money when they are making only a fraction on the event that they normally do. Though I suppose that same logic applies to that tournament costing a lot less as well. I don't know. Like I said, I want to say Reynor's IEM trophy is legit, but that "offline" qualification is bound to pop up in the future. So might as well just accept it's going to happen.

Not a knock on Reynor, he played so well and is clearly capable of winning an offline world championship, but there will always be that asterik on that win. Ehh, hasn't Reynor also been a finalist at the last three world championships? I get the sentiment with the online component, but that win was well-deserved considering who he played

Props to Ragna for that. Good point. This may have been the major part of Serral's rationale for gg'ing. It seems unlikely that he thought he would not hold the push eventually, even with some losses. Probably he thought after defending he would be massively behind in economy, whereas in actuality they would be on roughly equal footing.
