Here we are once again as Team Liquid Map Contest #17 powered by Shopify is in full swing! With map submissions over and judges opinions pouring in we are excited to announce the 9th edition of the WardiTV Team Liquid Map Contest Tournament!
We'll once again have twenty players playing a total of 51 series across six days for maximum map testing awesomeness!
Special thanks again to Shopify for helping to bring this Team Liquid Map Contest and hence tournament to us!
Group stages are Round Robin BO3, with 5 players in each group. First place of each group goes directly to the RO8, while second and third will face off against each other in the RO12.
Some matches during groups may be played simultaneously and replays cast at the end of the show to help with scheduling – full information will be set up once we have a proper match schedule in place.

I obviously promote new maps because the game needs some freshness. I don t know why zergs pro players like Serral or Reynor doesn t play this tourney but i m more and more pessimist about the balance especially when it s talking about map control. Let s give again one month to Zergs for their needs of adaptation, and then dominate the top of the chart

Probably for the same reason HeroMarine in the last TLMC was loud about (or the one before that, I do not exactly remember) - not there to be beta testers and want maps to be immediately ladder ready. That invariably favours some maps over others. If Map pool is blander as a result, likely a tertiary concern for them.
Yeah I feel sad for Showtime as well. I miss Stats like you wouldn't believe. Not just his rock solid play style, but his warm personality as well. Showtime is Stats Jr for me, and I always cheer for him. At least he made it into DH Atlanta
