At least Rotti said he was mindblown when he saw Reynor play offline and he is the fastest player out there. And I'd say Rotti saw every top player there is play offline.

He hadn't broken out yet and he was still able to take series' off of the cream of the crop Koreans (classic comes to mind). He was 16-17 right? Not that young, same as when Life, Leenock, Maru, Squirtle, TaeJa and the rest were first considered to be the best or among the best in the world. Reynor and Clem aren't particularly early bloomer it's just everyone else who's just old as fuck lol

Easy to remember because he played GSL but wasn't allowed to play WCS yet because of the age requirement of 16.

Instead of just attack moving, he was microing them and actually getting a full surround on the mech army while chasing with his Roach/Ravager army while Terran was retreating. I don't know what series your refering to, but sure his ling micro is great, but in terms of multitasking, creep/map awareness, reactions, injects etc I still think Serral is better. Reynor's wins seem to come more from abusive unit comps and catching people with ling run-bys and surrounds. I'm not saying Reynor isn't great mechanically, just that he hasn't shown he's the best in the world which is essentially what the other guy was saying.

The reason he can sometimes (and not often mind) beat him in ZvZ is usually down to tactics, of which Reynor is extremely abusive. Mirror matchups (across the board) are typically where mechanics matter the least. I'd bet on Serral to beat someone like Maru offline, but not Reynor. The problem with what you say is that Reynor has never quite proved he's at that level mechanically. Maru has been the best in the world in that department enough times to give him credit. Not saying Reynor 100% isn't, but the responsibility goes on him to prove that. Mechanics matter the MOST in mirror matches, contrary to what people thing. You can't fall behind macro wise and you are stuck with the same units as opponent, so if you dont micro better you have a problem. Youre right though Maru by far has the better list of accomplishments. Aside from not participating in the code S, though, reynor seems to be outclassing serral and many top koreans mechanically. Only dark at blizzcon made him look completely outclassed.

He might not be Life (who was The prodigy) but he was already quite impressive. He is playing since he is 8, it's quite logic he is ridiculously good at the game. (generally, the sooner you begin, the better it is)

Playing in a different way of the norm, going for heavy damage early/midgame, etc.

Based on their streams and first person views I don't think so at all. It's way harder to keep up with what Serral and Maru are doing. Wonder if anyone has screen-per-minute stats for these kind of things
