I'd say that it is. Maru had no indication that Scarlett had air units that could attack air, and the game lasted like 5 hours so I would think the possibility would cross his mind at any point during that.

It is, because idra still technically had a chance to lose, albeit very low. Maru had a 100 PERCENT CHANCE TO DRAW.

dont know if it's legit
Ah, then I assume Maru believed that he will have a lower game score than Scarlett in a draw situation. Ok. so this is explainable after all but still, wow!

That's...o.O not how starcraft works. Horrible if true.

On the plus side, we don't get to suffer through a rematch on King's Cove.
I feel like I'm torn and the recency of the stupidity makes me agree with you moreso than how actually stupid it was. But this was definitely fucking stupid

Even if there is 1 corruptor he could sit in a corner with all of the vikings, it'd take more than that to turn the game into a loss

Wait, someone actually uses this game score thing? I knew it was most useless part of statistics... but never though it would be actively harmful.

Btw what were the game scores after gg then?

We're supposed to watch ASL after this. Another game like that would ruin the perfect schedule.

This fucking tournament man...

Wtf does "The Player who has 20 percent more point than the opponent wins the game." mean anyways. Why 20 percent? What happens if it's not 20 percent?

At least it seems as though the Macsed stuff is nonsense, as the caster would definitely not be allowed to joke about it if the organizers had any reason to believe it was true

Okay, despite the ending, I thought that game was pretty great. Scarlett showed an immense amount of patience to get to the point where she could actually fight back and not lose the game, and Maru's persistence with the nukes and the map presence was crazy. I thought Scarlett was dead for sure for like 30 minute. (And then I thought it was a draw for 20 minutes but ya know)
|
It's a very good rule, no idea why so many people defend Maru there. Also, after a game of 200 nukes I really think he deserved that painful lose xD
SC2 dev team needs to do something about those late games because they are just damn boring and unfun to both: play and watch.

I just read the WESG rules and it is clear that Scarlett would be the winner if Maru floated buildings into the corner (if the score difference actually was 20%):
Draw scenarios:
A draw occurs when both players cannot eliminate each other. i. If the game time has not reached 20 minutes, a rematch of the map will be held. ii. If the game time is past 20 minutes, the verdict will be decided using the in-game score, and the player whose score is 20% higher than the opponent will be declared victor, provided if: 1. There are no more resources remaining on the map. 2. Both players do not have the army count to finish each other.
ii. If player scores are less than 20% apart, a draw will be called and a rematch will be held.
