Yeah, seems a waste of time for me just to log on complain, but I too figured that group C would be running live before group D. Guess I'm going back to bed *sigh*

That's what Rotti said at the end of the last stream so I guess that's the case. I think he said something like, "...a couple ZvZs to warm up."
Well I was going to catch the start of the day, but so much for that I guess
Fifteen-25 games of ZvZ doesn't pique your interest?
It's 18-30 actually. 4 players, each of which plays 3 series, with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 games per series. So that's $4 * 3 * 3 / 2 = 18$ and $4 * 3 * 5 / 2 = 30$.
Quick mafs.
And regarding interest, I'm shitposting about arithmetic instead of watching the stream, so yeah.

Serral trying to keep us as close to 18 as possible

Blegh...I forgot it was round robin. We're like three series in, and I've already had my fill of ZvZ.
Sad that such a tournament is scheduled like this. It already had entertaining games. But it is nearly impossible to watch for anyone outside of china.

Group C will have three way tie for second place, will come down to map score. Scarlett beats Showtime, Showtime beats Nerchio and Nerchio beats Scarlett.
Anytime I get destroyed by terran on ladder who masses marines and medivacs I feel like a looser but then I see how even Nerchio can loose to that and I dont feel so bad
All the top Koreans can wreck foreigners but only Maru can run rings around them like that. He makes the gap look outright unbridgeable. Just marines and medivacs, old-fashioned TvZ.

I don't think he could have beaten Nerchio without ravens.
Nerchio had him on the ropes every game, but those no-skill AAMs just let Maru win over and over again. It's disgusting how broken Ravens are, carrying yet another patchterran to a Ro8 that's already filled with Terrans.
Since 1998 StarCraft is game of Koreans. Ans tbh nothing change since then. Gap is not closing. ( from time to time we got someone like Blackman, Draco, Jinro, Stephano, Neeb, Serral getting close ) Foreigners need gaming house like JinAir got, put all best gamers in it, train 12h a day, then talk about the game. And maybe after some time they will get closer.

I like the your trolling . btw, what race do you play, or played?
On a more serious note, Terran need to win, or at least get into a final, it`s been almost a year now, and this year, besides Maru who is going most probably at least in RO4 to big torunaments (IEM, GSL, WESG), no other Terran really have good results, with or without the "Raven" stuff. Also.. zergs.. learn to split!

I played protoss, but stopped because terran is bullshit.

Last terran in finals was in GSL season 3, september 2017 I think. 6 month :o
Was looking on the possible brackets and Reynor will get either Serral or 1 of the 3 best korean representatives (arguably Rogue is better then Dark, but Dark is more consistent, Maru and Classic are the best from their race in the last 2 months or so). Probably will be one sided, but doesn`t even matter, the kid has 14-15 years? and is playing on a big scene for a lot of money vs the best players in the world(top koreans) or against Serral who is probably a player he is looking up to (I saw he has the avatar-picture with Serral). It is a dream come true, after ofc a lot of work he put in. Really happy for a person when he achieves this.
Other then that, I don`t really thing that Neeb, Elazer or Scarlett(most probably) can beat any of the top1 finishers. (they can on a good day, but not likely to happen, even if I`d like to.
hmm Nerchio vs Showtime, finally a good series to follow edit: can showtime still qualify? ( I mean besides beating Maru) Map score is not in his favor..

If Showtime loses to Maru and Nerchio beats Scarlett 3 -1, then we have a three way tie in series score with Nerchio and Scarlett also tied in mapscore too, and Showtime being last in map score. Then I'm not sure if we'd have Nerchio advancing or a three way tie breaker match. Rules read to me that head-to-head is only considered in two way tie, so that might lead to a tiebreaker with Showtime in it?

The tie-breaker criteria is applied one at a time. In a the situation you described (3-way-tie) we first look at map score (because h2h does not apply) and see that ShoWTimE can be dropped from the tie but Nerchio and Scartlett still remain. Now always after breaking players off the tie we start the criteria from the top again, so we now apply the head to head in the remaning two players, and Nerchio would advance having won over Scarlett in their mutual match.

Head to head is considered before map score in a two-way tie (unlike in Katowicze where map score was considered first)

Honestly, how to fight bio with mines as a gateway army? Zealots just melt and then you're sitting there with your pants down getting your stalkers rekt.

Have you tried a-moving?
Yeah, the mines generally show why it's a bad idea tho ^^

Mines are basically static banelings now though, the only reason Showtime didn't win that game is because Maru is fucking Maru. Oh, and Ravens of course.

Also, you think Serral puts up a better fight than Dark?
Thanks I edited!
Yeah of course, Serral has monstruous mechanics and he'll redeem himself from being 3-0ed by Classic by putting up an Epic fight against Maru the savior of terran.

I mean, we wouldn't be fans if we always think he's gonna lose or not gonna cut it.
I'm mentally prepared for him to go out 0-3 to Serral if that happens, but I believe
Given that he went 1-2 in an incredibly tight series just a few weeks ago, I think that Neeb can definitely achieve a 1-3 or maybe, if he plays really well, a 2-3 against Serral.

there is some controversy around that series because there was a super long pause with Serral's computer having issues and then an observer lag which impacted the game, a lot of things weren't going right for those 2
I +1 you on this, have the same predictions :D. Still a bit upset about Neeb vs Serral...wanted a possibilty of this on RO4, but at least we will have a nicer series overall and also some TvZ in the semi-finals and finals.

You can find some of them on youtube, with 1-2 day delay:
Recomandation, well definitelly not the Special games, but you can check out the Classic vs UThermal series, I heard it was 1 supply depo difference from 3-2 and 2-3 and I guess also Uthermal vs Neeb was quite entertaining. Other than that.. some beautiful games by Maru, but kinda 1 sided, still nice execution. Showtime vs Nerchio was also ok-ish, from what I saw kinda standard but at least 3-2.

If you wan't to see some big brain ZvZ then watch Serral's matches.
twitch.tv/wesg_sc2 has cut out the series quite nicely. Or then wait a day or two for the yt vids.

Surely without losing the three immortal and the recall neeb would've demolished Serral.

More so than he already did, I suppose. He beat Nerchio and Scarlett this morning, but he has the opportunity to potentially win ten more maps against Zerg.

I wonder if this season is Maru's for the taking in GSL.
