hoping that showtime and serral win all their matches to face off for first place in the last group match
|
I don't believe I've seen a zerg contained so hard as sLivko is right now
|
Fun fuct about Slivko for those who didnt catch it on stream: He started his own company - "importing meat" from Kazkhstan i think. Did not play much sc recently.

I think Nerchio refusing to get armour upgrade or tech up is making this game a lot closer than it should.

Didnt catch him much on stream. Only saw him towering over his monitor. I would say he is still buffed, not sure how much in relation to the past.

Have to say I really enjoy the combination of casters. And its always great to see Brendan in action
Now if ShoWTimE and Lambo make it out of their groups everything's perfect :D
|
Starbuck almost made the 2-0 upset happen against Serral. The second map was very close.

Beat Lambo and your through Benjy <333

doesnt starbuck come out in 3rd if clem 2-0s nightend ? or how do tiebreakers work
|
Anyone has the tiebreaker rules ?
|
2.1.4 Group results are determined as follows. Each match win awards 1 point, a loss 0 points. Players will be ranked according to points scored. Ties in the groups are resolved as follows: 2.1.4.1 If two players have the same amount of points, their head-to-head result determines their order in the ranking. 2.1.4.2 If three, four or five players have the same amount of points, the following rules determine their order in the ranking (in order of importance): ● Game score based on the total group results. ● Points based on matches between the tied players only. ● Game score based on the matches between the tied players only. ● If more than two players are still tied then round-robin Bo1 tie-breaker matches shall be played with the tied players. The admins will decide the match order. If after application of the above rules only two players are tied, two-player tie-breaker rules (see above) will be applied
seems like liquipedia is wrong? clem should be out not starbuck

Yeah that does pose an interesting head to head, some how starbuck would go through if Clem 2-0s Nightend, but it doesn't save Clem, he is 100% out.
Nightend just needs to win to advance

Clem is really not playing well. 0-8 deserved.

The casters kept mentioning how young he was, so I took a look at Liquipedia. Holy cow, he does looks very young in his profile picture.

wtf how demu 2-0ed lambo ?

Really sad about Lambo's result, he was looking way more prepared in his streams.
Hopefully he can take this as a learning experience/motivation and do better next time. Fighting!

They need to double the pay of casters then penalize them every time they misuse the word "cheeky".
|
something was really wrong about that attack. Did a single protoss unit die there?
|
the year of Showtime is upon us

They still need to get paid... I can't see them leaving without debt under these rules ^^

One thing I've really genuinely hated about the design of Zerg is that it feels like so many strategic victories (eg: very late scouted nydus) can be negated by just good control. Zerg has so few ways to leverage this compared to Terran and Protoss. Mutalisks used to do this somewhat in HotS, but it's always been a major weak point. Inevitably, at levels where players don't have this control, Zerg is too strong. And when they do, Zerg feels very vulnerable to plays that just hinge on only mechanics, even when the information game has played out in their favour.
That said, ShowTime played that series very well. Overall some good games today.

Apparently the Ro12 is: A2/B3 Minato - Rail A3/B2 Namshar - Bly C2/D3 Serral C3/D2 NightEnD

I think the trick is to force these players to make control mistakes. Certain players that I don't want to name were famous for always having lings at their opponent's base so that their opponents never could only focus on one attack, and they won incredibly consistently.

Majestic was doing really well there that game till he lost that warp prism...

Nerchio and Elazer didn't drop a single map. POLISH ZERG BEST ZERG
Also I thought that part of window was on my pc and I tried to close it. Then I realized it's part of the stream. Triggered.

Obviously Nerchio is a stronger player and probably wins regardless which was probably why Majestic was still trying to be aggressive.

Majestic is not great with his warp prisms...

I just meant you sentence should have included the Stalkers
"Majestic was doing really well there that game till he lost that warp prism... and lost all his Stalkers"

The game was already over awhile ago, but losing ~5 stalkers with the move command would have been brutal in a closer game.
|
This looks like my PvT. Literally dying to anything terran.

The Ro12 should be: A2/B3 Minato - Rail A3/B2 Namshar - Bly C2/D3 Serral - Majestic C3/D2 NightEnD - DeMusliM
I'd guess: Minato, Namshar, Serral, NightEnD
