I know he lost to Trap recently, but ever since his rise in 2014 I've felt Solar is one of the few to really distinguish themselves in ZvP as one of the best. Think he narrowly takes it.

What makes it better? The inherent extra mobility of terran due to them accidentally always having dropships around is quite fun.
I have a problem with bio in SC2, I don't like that the race masses low tier units and only builds tech to support the low tier ball
Instead of the other way around (low tier units supporting higher tier tech)
I don't understand why the game should necessarily revolve around tiers of units. The current progression from bio through medivacs to ghosts and liberators is fine. It's not needed for every race to be forced to wait for a lot of tech buildings to be good.

isn't it the same with the other races? Ling bane + high tech? Mass adepts + high tech?
Protoss used to be (mostly) Colossus + support
and everyone hated that
Protoss still uses lower tier to protect higher tier and not just Colossi
You don't have to agree obviously but in my opinion Terran is a bit boring in regard of teching up and transitioning
It's StarCraft not Civilization, the game isn't about unlocking killer tech and that's a good thing. TvT is super varied, TvZ has two main paths but with varied openings. Sure TvP is rubbish to watch, but that's a problem not on the T side.

you say that as if civilization isn't a professionally played game :p
Look, I obviously still like SC2 or I wouldn't be here but I always thought bio is too strong and in imo limiting terran options
I for one would like to see terran having to transition out of bio balls

Somebody bring back Fantasy and his sexy bio into mech build
With hindsight the muta switch looked cool but I wonder if it was actually a wise move. Just getting a faster infestation pit and a quicker transition to BLs would probably have done the job much easier.

I think the distraction they provided was excellent, I believe Stats could have rolled Solar's ground army pretty easily

I kinda agree but spending 2000/2000 was over the top. He could have done the same distractions with a few less mutas.

abyssal, odyssey and ascension to aiur are good. Even I as a huge advocate for having standard maps am bored of seeing the same old maps over and over again.

I'd complain about them being so fucking big, but it's not like Newkirk is any better

It's actually pretty hard to properly target everything with locusts as you can't hotkey them obviously so it's an awkward game of boxing your own army and splitting off the non-locusts. Then the locust AI is also another opponent and Protoss can always walk away.

You can't hotkey them at all? Why is that? But you can ctrl-click them anyway, can't you? He had them just floating around so many times, that's the one thing you can't really let happen when you have 15+ SHs and they make the main force of your army.

There is a reason doubleclick exists
Control + click master race
Ok that's probably true, something i should fix in my play
Innovation surely is the big favorite now (i mean he always was because he's already in the finals ) But hey he surely can still lose this, ZvT in the finals is nice.
Though Stats vs Innovation would have been really interesting as well, a new rivalry basically

It would also have been a TvP, that is, another reason to vomit, like if the maps weren't good enough for that. I have only a limited supply of containers lying around here!

I am not the biggest fan of tvp either, but stats vs innovation could be something to enjoy.
They met in: (bigger series)
SSL 2017 Season 1 Premier Pennant Race Day 9 05/15/2017 INnoVation KR T 2–0 P KR Stats
GSL 2017 Season 1 Code S Ro8 02/22/2017 INnoVation KR T 2–3 P KR Stats
IEM Season XI Gyeonggi Playoffs Final 12/18/2016 INnoVation KR T 4–0 P KR Stats
IEM Season XI Gyeonggi Group Stage Group A 12/14/2016 INnoVation KR T 2–1 P KR Stats
And the potential of the SSL finals would have been there, pretty cool rivalry imo. Now it's harder to define it as such though.

Stats winning was the biggest chance for Inno to lose. I can't imagine him going down to byul or solar tbh :/ especially because he only has TvZ to practice for the next week or so.
Whoever wins this tournament, the storyline will be amazing. Solar becoming the first player since NesTea to defend a Starleague title, Byul breaking the kong curse or INnoVation winning his 4th korean premier.

That's true. Though out of all these Byul's is the worst imo. He is no soO
Mediocre performance from Stats overall. His lategame is still crazy good but the attacks in the first 2 games were poorly executed. Solar's build choice in game 5 was great.
innovation is way overhyped.. you guys see him get eaten in gsl or are we talking about a different guy? if innovation cant do his build, he looks lost
