And, although not at the highest level, I would say that Hydra is a code s lvl player. So, for Lilbow to beat Hydra, Jaedong, and ForGG, I would currently rank him among the lower-middle koreans. Lets be honest, how many notable mid-low level Koreans would we actually rank as that good? Lilbow vs innovation, well yeah, but what about Lilbow vs Hyun, or Symbol or...Bravo? Would probably go the Koreans' way, but I think the match would be closer.

If I'll be fair with Lilbow, I guess the maximum thing he will ever achieve is Code A, that is like the top maximum he can ever achieve. But don't even dream about Code S at all.

Well, get real, guys. PenguiN made Code S. MC made Code S. RagnaroK made Code S. Sleep made Code S. Pigbaby made Code S. Trust, Stork, Hack made Code S. Making Code S once is not that big of an achievement, and yes, all the foreign hopes we had in HotS (Stephano, NaNiwa, Scarlett, Snute, Lilbow) could have made Code S at their peak. At least I think so ; the sad thing being that it can't be proved. The amount of foreigner bashing, shit posting and general negativism in the WCS LR threads lately have been depressing. Hardly checking in anymore.

The difference no one likes to talk about is the gap between Championship Contention and "Code S" is actually pretty big. No foreigner has the professional coaching behind them to with a GSL/SSL event, though. And that's actually been the biggest gulf between the top Koreans and top Foreigners.

That counts for every race ofc, in case someone wants to lay this out as anti protoss whine.

It is the first time he reaches the semis this year. Season one he got knocked out in the quarter finals and in season two he finished last in his group in Ro16. This season he has already lost to Lilbow.

But as far as I remember he lost mostly due to build order wins, allins, not because his mechanics were worse

But we shouldn't care, points in Korea are far too hard to get for any foreigner to try his chance in Korea nowadays -sadly. I miss the times when Korea was the Mecca of esports and NaNiwa, HuK, MaNa, Thorzain, etc were all fighting like demons in code A because even a code S ro32 was the pinnacle. I wish more people would get Korea seeds like Snute in S2SL, even if they have to get slaughtered by the likes of INnoVation and Classic. I'd be really hyped for the storylines.

It isn't negativity to report that Foreigners are still WAY behind top Koreans, it's simply an observation of fact. The WCS Finals will showcase this as they always tend to. There isn't a player that has qualified from WCS Premier that will have even a remote chance of winning against the guys qualifying from Korea. It's a fact, WCS will prove it. The tournament taking place now is utterly meaningless. Regardless of who wins, it doesn't affect who will win Blizzcon, all it affects is who will qualify.

Makes people happy, helps foreign scene, so overall it's great and beneficial. Quality of the games and of the players it qualifies for Blizzcon instead of Korea based household names, of course, is just not there.
